Why doesn’t Congress let the FBI informant testify immediately? What are they waiting for? For him to die suddenly before he testifies?

An FBI informant, who states that he has evidence linking Clintons to bribery in Uranium 1, the sale of 20% of the US uranium to a Russian controlled company, have offered to testify.
So far, he did not testify either before the House or Senate. This man might end up dead soon if he is not allowed to testify.
What our members of Congress and department of Justice are waiting for?

Perhaps congress wants him dead. There might be some republican and democrat skeletons in the uranium closet.
