Pith in the Wind is pleased today to introduce a strong new competitor for our Kook Power Rankings. It’s Matthew Hill! Watch out Frank Niceley. Hill wears the clown shoes proudly, and he’s not to be denied. A state representative from the hinterlands of northeast Tennessee, he’s also the star of various shows on his family’s far-right religious radio station. Hill, who once plastered an ultrasound picture of his fetus-baby in a campaign flyer, hosts “The Matthew Hill Show” daily, plus another program named “Bible Buddies.” Need we say more?On one show, which we heard courtesy of the radio station’s website archives, he welcomed none other than that nutty Russian dentist Orly Taitz, instigator of the crackpot legal action demanding President Obama’s birth certificate.

“I never thought we’d actually get to meet you in person,” he gushes as Taitz comes on the air with him. “I’m extremely excited to have you on the program.”

That’s right, Hill thinks Obama’s an alien.In her thick Russian accent, which makes her sound very much like Natasha on the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, Taitz goes on to say to strangest things, to wit:

“Obama wants his own private army. … He wants Hamas militants coming to the shores of U.S. … Each and every thing that Obama states is absolutely fraud. Why is he lying?”

Taitz adds, “I did investigation,” which uncovered “hundreds of addresses” for Obama “that are attached to Social Security numbers. I found they were all issued in different states in nation. How can a human being, even if you believe he’s messiah, how can he get so many Social Security numbers in different states where he did not live? So we’re putting together puzzle.”

Hill clearly adores his guest. He doesn’t disagree with her that Obama ought to be drummed out of office as a foreigner.

“We’ve said on this program many times … we’ve had people call in and say why are you picking on him? And I’ve said, ‘Look it’s really simple. If he is a U.S. citizen you produce the papers. If he’s not a U.S. citizen, what does he do? He hides them. He’s hiding them. We need the truth. We need the documents unsealed. We need to know what’s going on.”
