What can be done to save lives?

We all saw horrible events of the last few days and I am wondering, what can be done to save lives.
First, in relation to Dallas, terrible death of 5 police officers, why didn’t the Chief of Dallas police order officers to be wearing riot gear? If they would have been wearing riot gear: bullet proof wests and helmets, they would have been alive.
Secondly, in relation to 2 black men who died in confrontations with police. Why wasn’t a non-letal force used, like taser guns? If officers used taser guns instead of live ammunition, these men would be alive.
In my opinion, we should be looking at practical steps in saving lives and demand our local police departments implement appropriate changes.

Orly, yes it is terrible when people die a violent death.
The video of Aldon Sterling shows him fighting the officers and one appears to be thrown off by Sterling. The police knew he had a gun and they were acting in self-defense to save their lives from what I saw.
It appears that Mr. Castille was a suspect in an armed robbery from just a few days ago and that’s why he was pulled over, not a tail light. From the video the cop told Mr. Castille to not move and he kept moving and Castille said he had a gun. There’s only a split second to make a decision. More information below.

Tasers can be in effecitve, in a life or death situation unfortunately. Firearm is far more effective in defending your life. It is feasible that both Sterling and Castille could have shot the cops. Both have criminal records and both had guns.

It really upsets me when conclusions are drawn about someone’s guilt before all of the facts are in. Judgment should not be rendered like the irresponsible MN governor did to the Hispanic police officer that shot Castille and how the great divider obama has done. How are these officers supposed to have a fair trial? Any BLM member that was on trial would want all of the facts to be seen by the jury before it is determined whether they are guilty or innocent.

The baton rouge dirtbag was waving a gun at people, thus the 9-1-1 call. This was not a taser vs gun call. Police are ready to react in the new world of police killings, suspects with guns that don’t readily comply put their own lives in jeopardy. Why should cops take the slightest chance of not going home at night.

Good ideas, but they did not expect a riot. In
fact, they were just escorting the parade, not
expecting an ambush. But riot gear will also
help, must become mandatory for assemblies,
parades, speeches, conventions, etc., from now
on. Yes, on taser guns. But may also need
regular guns and tear gas guns. Big problem.
We support the police as our protectors from

1. The Black Lives Matter leadership and membership would prefer that Barack Obama remain in office.
2. Significant protests are being orchestrated by the Black Lives Matter leadership for both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.
3. Most likely the images are real. Their existence could either be factual as reported above or part of an elaborate hoax to generate support for protests concocted by the Black Lives Matter leadership.
4. Whether the images are real or not, there are no facts that confirm the participation of the Attorney General.
5. If the reported discussions and support of the Attorney General are factual, we will find out soon enough.

On the news last night it was reported that the officers were actually wearing bullet proof vests, but the high power rifle used to shoot them can go through such vests.
They were not wearing riot gear with helmets because this was a slow and peaceful walk protest, until this shooter got started.
It seems if police had shown up with helmets and shields it would have been an invitation to riot.

Dallas Police Chief David Brown said that Micah X. Johnson, the gunman who killed five Dallas-area police officers Thursday night, had enough explosives in his home to “have devastating effects throughout our city…”
Brown’s comments came Sunday morning during a CNN interview with Jake Tapper. “We are convinced that this suspect had other plans and thought that what he was doing was righteous and believed that he was going to make law enforcement… and target law enforcement… and make us pay for what he sees as law enforcement’s effort to punish people of color,” Brown told Tapper.

“It appears that our search of the suspect’s home in Mesquite leads us to believe, based on evidence of bomb making materials and a journal, that this suspect had been practicing explosive detonations and that the materials were such that it was large enough to have devastating throughout our city and our north Texas area,” Chief Brown explained.
