The crowd is generated by the media and Hillary voters voters and those addicted to special rights and entitlement.
They have to establish Trump as a bonafide conservative and build up enough money and campaign structure to eventually run as an independent to split enough GOP votes to elect Hillary. Notice how they ignore Walker who beat the democratic power structure in Wisconsin three times so won’t give him any press time. Certainly not good press time like they are Trump.

Walker did not announce his run yet. There wasn’t much coverage of Trump until he announced that he is running. also, Trump is running as a GOP.

Rich, the crowds are generated by a desire for Constitutionalism and redress of very valid grievances stemming from the Obama administration and a VERY LAME Republican Party.

Trump is stirring the political pot. Just perhaps a good political stew will result.

Can someone explain why Trump would have supported Hillary back in 2008 and for senator before that? What changed. I am afraid some GOP won’t ever forgive him for that, so it’s another reason why he should go independent.

Report On Trump’s July 11 2015 Speech In Phoenix

My wife and I attended Donald Trump’s speech held in Phoenix on Sat. We had tickets and it still took an hour and twenty minutes standing in line to gain entrance. According to the Sunday Arizona Republic, the line to get in was over half a mile long at one point. I don’t doubt that. However, I do doubt their tally.

I have a commercial real estate background. I estimated the square footage of the room we were in to be about 90,000 sq. ft. It turns out that it was about 84,000 sq. ft. I estimated that (we were all standing) each of us had about 5 sq. ft. of space and the room was 80% full. That would be a crowd of 13,440 people. Trump’s press release said there were in excess of 15,000, but that probably counted the many outside who wanted to get it but couldn’t as the speech had begun. The local tv news and newspaper claimed that the crowd was only approximately 4000! Complete baloney. Furthermore, Trump’s people had the advance ticket tallies. Those tallies didn’t go to the press, unless passed along by Trump. So, as usual, the press were lying. I was interviewed by a channel 12 (NBC) guy as I left. He was clearly depressed at the answers I gave to his line of questioning, obviously looking for dissent. In fact, my wife asked him if he was only interested in interviewing people who opposed Trump! He declined comment.

There were the usual moldy leftovers from the 1960’s protesting outside. Same crap, different ridiculous charges and positions. They looked like scumbags. Inside, a small number, perhaps five or six had some banner and started yelling. It lasted for only a couple of minutes, but the press pushed people aside to go talk with them! Dirtbags in suits with cameras. Trump suggested that Mexico must have paid them to show up.

Don’t believe the numbers that the press tells you about attendance. It was huge. The AZ Republic did go so far as to say that it was the biggest turnout for any 2016 presidential candidate to date. The enthusiasm inside was terrific. Whatever you may think of Donald Trump, he definitely connects. However, extreme caution is advised when reading reports in the media about him as he is opposed by both Democrat and GOP Establishment power. In fact during his talk, he pointed out the many absurdities of recent press about him, not the least of which was that NBC didn’t drop him from Celebrity Apprentice, he dropped them. Highly profitable for the network and having failed with other attempts, NBC according to Trump, begged him to continue, with both Comcast (they own NBC) and NBC heads urging him on. However, due to “equal time” election regulations, as a practical matter, he couldn’t run and appear in the show too. So he declined.

Inside or out the numbers in favor vastly outnumbered the few who opposed. When John McCain’s name was mentioned, the “boos” were deafening. I thought that we were perhaps witnessing a sea change in American politics, or at least the opening ripples.

The Republicans did mortal damage to themselves when we voters gave them the majority in both Houses of Congress, and they did none of what they had promised us when they ran. We won’t vote for them again, because we can see it is useless. Donald Trump is outside their inner circle of power. He shares our ideas on our southern border, jobs, support for our military and veterans, and he has what it takes to win the nomination despite the power of the Republican inner circle.

Reply to Rich, consider this idea. Sen Marco Rubio, first term Senator from Florida (I am in Florida and voted for him.) left his Senate seat to run for President. The other Senators running did not do this. Only Rubio was facing re-election in 2016, and it was a choice, run of Senate again, or President. He chooses to run for President. He is young, handsome, articulate, and he attracts many voters who like his youthful energy. He takes these voters away from other young candidates, Rand Paul, Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, but at some point already chosen, just before the Florida Primary perhaps, Rubio will drop out of the race, and he will endorse his old mentor, and fellow Floridian, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. Most of his supporters will be disappointed, but he is young and can run another time. They will do as he requests, and give their support, and in the Florida Primary, their votes, to Jeb Bush. This will put Bush far ahead of all the other candidates running. Or would have, if Donald Trump were not running. You might wonder why Marco Rubio would do this, why join the race only to drop out later? Because he gets a big bonus. He runs for Governor of Florida. Our present Governor is Republican, but not well liked. Rubio could beat him easily. Especially since he would have the Bush family supporting him. Jeb was a popular Governor here. Then Rubio can be Governor of Florida gaining executive experience which will be very helpful when he does run for President. And when he does he will have the full support of the Republican Establishment, and the Bush family. A side comment is that Rubio ran for the Senate saying he was against amnesty, and he joined the Gang of 8 working for amnesty as soon as he got to DC. He lied to us. I am voting for Donald Trump. Read my earlier post for a clear statement of why.

Replying to Rich above, I think you are wrong to thin the the Democrats manipulated this event. The crowd of 20,000 to hear Trump was not – and could never have been – created by an Elect Hillary effort. Or by the media, who would rather it never happened.

The attendees were solid Republicans who are fed up with being lied to by the Republican Establishment. As in totally.FED.UP. These are not Hillary supporters. They were there to see Trump, who is powerfully telling the truth.

Yes, there is a danger that Trump could “split the vote” by Republicans. But consider the alternative. There is a greater danger that if Trump were to drop out – and I pray the he does not – that we would next have Jeb Bush, the Republican Establishment’s Anointed One, as President.
Then the immigration floodgates will be thrown wide open and our country is lost.

Please, not another election where Republicans must hold their noses and vote for the Establishment candidate. Personally I won’t do that again.

Be willing to bet that the GOP will try to destroy his campaign just like they did Paul last time….If they are NOT towing the party line they are taken out….then they wonder why they lose elections
