An interesting theory now being floated is that the initial feint toward Fitzgerald was an effort to activate an electronic warfare device that would disable the warship (?!), leaving her unable to move or communicate. Once its effectiveness was observed, the container ship then reversed course to intentionally ram and sink Fitzgerald.
Can you explain how an effort to activate an electronic warfare device may disable the warship?
The rest of guesses and speculations as to who could arrange all that sound viable, but I do not understand the issue that I am asking. Do you?..

Orly: off to the right side of the page with the video, there’s info that says that (and it’s confirmed) that CHINA was the one that rammed this American Ship!
It looks like we are at War with China! And this was done on purpose…since they were hit twice!
How is this possible?
Trump needs to get this stopped!
And Branstad needs to come back to America!

Sorry, but someone in the Fitzgerald was asleep on duty and needs to be dealt accordingly. It doesn’t matter if someone had disabled the Fitzgerald electronics the ship has look outs to make sure there are no other vessels too close. I know because my son served in the Coast Guard and they had a family day and they had the ship cruise around the port and there was constant communications between the look outs and the bridge. A container ship that size it’s hard to miss! Someone able to disable the electronics and the communications I find it extremely hard to believe. Anything that goes in and out as far as communications is encrypted, that would’ve mean whoever did it has our encryption codes. I’m not buying this theory!
