The issue of Trump’s financial records is going to the Court of Appeals and expected to reach the Supreme Court in a year or two

Democrat controlled House Oversight committee led by Elijah Cummings issued subpoena for 8 years of Trump’ financial records. Trump filed a legal action to quash the subpoena stating that this is harassment and there is no legitimate purpose. The case was assigned to Obama’s appointee Amit Mehta who predictably ruled against Trump. Trump is appealing to the DC Circuit court of Appeals. Regardless of the outcome in the Court pf Appeals the case is expected to go to the Supreme Court and is not expected to be resolve before the 2020 election
