Referencing the civil unrest in Thailand is a good way to highlight the methods used to create division among a people. However, if the goal is to use the actions of the current anti-government protests as an example of what the people of the United States should be doing, then it is a mistake. Taskin, the former prime minister who was thrown out by a military coup several years ago, is a crook, no argument. However, because the ruling elite would not accept him into their refine circle he became a populist. As the only major politician who has ever courted the common folk and instituted major government programs in their favor they rallied behind him and have voted him or his party into office without fail whenever free elections have been allowed. It is his party which now is the ‘government’ under attack by elitist controlled anti-government protests. The current spate of rallies are not about ensuring freedom and individual rights, they are all about ensuring the continuing control of the country by the elitists. When the elitists are in control they gain it and attempt to keep it by force, the military stages a coup, the tanks come out in the streets, and snipers kill anything that moves, especially folk wearing ‘Press’ arm bands. The Thai prime minister who was just removed by the courts, is Taskin’s sister, of course she is his proxy, no one pretends it is otherwise, which is why she and his party were overwhelmingly voted into office to begin with. The main point you should be pointing out here is that when the courts ruled against her she stepped down, she didn’t call out the troops as the previous elitist controlled and appointed government did. The main lesson to be teaching here is that elitist will resort to any tactic, including killing you to maintain power, common folk prefer to wait for another free election to vote for their candidates because they know they will win. How long it takes before people decide to put an end to the continued disruption of free elections and the democratic process by the privileged is a good question.
