Ted Cruz Asks U.S. Judge to Reject Texas Birther Challenge

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz asked a federal judge in Texas to throw out a challenge to his eligibility to serve if he wins, saying there’s no legal basis to question his status as a “natural-born” U.S. citizen. Cruz, who was born in Canada to an American mother and a Cuban father, rejects arguments that he’s disqualified to serve as president because he wasn’t born in the U.S. The senator claims it’s settled constitutional law that American citizenship is conferred on children the moment they’re born to U.S. citizens living abroad. Cruz’s family returned to Texas when he was a child, and he has renounced the Canadian portion of his dual citizenship. “Founding-era sources, congressional

Cruz is trying to say that being simply a “citizen” is all that is necessary to be president. He needs to read the Constitution.

The document Cruz parents need to provide is called “A Consular Report of Birth Abroad” which was to be signed at the time of his birth in Canada in 1970. The Canadian law for dual citizenship was not changed until & for babies born in 1977 and so forth. Cruz is Canadian without this document signed at time of birth period.

read it here. someone did the research/facts:

There goes Cruz lying again. He knows full well that he’s not a natural born citizen on two counts. One, that he was not born in the USA and two, only one of his parents was an American citizen. Does he really believe a federal judge will accept his b/s? If a judge does then our Constitution is worthless.
