Sterling’s response to NBA-recent actions are sham proceedings based on an illegal recording of a private conversation

As I expected Sterlings are playing good cop and bad cop in that they are giving the NBA a way out in calming down the situation and postponing the decision by a year or so in allowing Shelley Sterling to sell the team at some later time on her own terms at a price she finds acceptable (Sterlings claim $2.6 billion) or all hell will brake lose in court depositions and trial. All dirty laundry of each and every owner and player will be on display at trial to show that current punishment is completely out of line in relation to any and all precedents in the NBA. Maxwell Belcher is saying that NBA owners had a total lack of any decency and honesty in that in their charges they did not acknowledge that the sanctions stem from a totally illegal recording of a private conversation.  As I predicted before, he states that NBA rules relate to the actions by members in relation to the game of basketball, not morals and conversations of members  in the privacy of their own homes. He acknowledges that the private comment was inappropriate, however inappropriate statements in the past were punished by $100,000 only, and that was for public statements made during the game of basketball, when for example Kobe Bryant was fines $100,000 for calling a referee a “fucking faggot”. At the very maximum a statement can be punished with a $1,000,000, not $2,500,000, not a ban for life and not a forced sale of the team. He stated that never in the history of NBA such actions were taken. He stated that nobody was ever fined $2.5 million, no owner was ever banned for life and no owner was ever forced to sell the team for any offense, for any crime, much less an inappropriate comment made in a private conversation, which was illegally recorded. states that the actions by the NBA represent sham proceeding in violation of sterling’s rights under CA constitution.  See the actual letter below.  I am wondering what will Sterling chose: will he opt for a jury trial or run the risk of falling on a judge which can be bought or pressured by the regime. My guess he will take his chances with a jury versus run a chance of a bought judge, who might simply disregard all rules and precedents for a high enough price. My guess is that he will expose to the jury in a highly publicized trial each and every owner voting against him, as someone with lots of  skeletons in his closet, who is trying to appease the current ruler in DC and is trying to appease the mob looking for blood instead of acting in an impartial manner and following the rules and precedents.

I am wondering, why Adam Silver acted in complete disregard of all the rules and precedents. Is he simply an idiot or was he paid off?  I tend to believe that Adam Silver was paid off and was promised some type of a cut. Considering that he comes from Chicago, nothing would surprise me. At any rate TMZ will be deposed, we will know who sold the story to the TMZ and whether this person is connected to one of the individuals, who immediately offered to buy the team. Talk show  host Mark Levine called them “hyenas”.  I was wondering about Obama’s statement during the correspondents dinner, where he stated that someone offered him Clipper tickets, but those were not old Sterling tickets, but new Oprah tickets. For a US president to present an NBA dispute and a possible forced sale as a foregone conclusion, was unprecedented.  The whole thing had Chicago written all over  it. If Larry Ellison and David Gefen were in on that game, they will have a lot of explaining to do. I do not know if Magic Johnson was involved in this, it remains to be seen. At any rate, the next year or two will be interesting, unless, of course, the owners will decide not to force the sale and will make  the deal with Sterlings now.

Sterling’s response to NBA- actions by NBA violate Sterling’s constitutional rights

PS  the response to NBA alludes to the fact that no action was taken by the NBA in multiple cases including the fact that Adam Silver did nothing in relation to Shaquille O’Neil’s racist anti Asian comments and his bullying of a disabled man with ectodermal displasia. He states that Silver is yet to act in this matter and take any action against the ownership interest (Shaquille O’Neil is a minor owner of Sacramento Kings). This statement  clearly refers to the complaint Taitz filed with the NBA against Shaquille O’Neil and Trey Burke to which Adam Silver and the Board of Governors did not respond to. I am sure that this complete lack of impartiality will be brought at trial to prove bias and malice on part of the Commissioner Adam Silver.

In the end while private comments of Sterling to his alleged mistress were inappropriate and he apologized for them, the actions by Silver and the NBA represent a flagrant abuse of discretion and abuse of power which can be used as a precedent at any time in any situation against anyone. Because such abuse affects all of your rights, it should not be allowed to stand.

The lessons are always the same; the goal always to the same purpose. Administration continually proves synonymous with corruption, greed, and self-indulgence.

Whether sports, corporate business, or government, the creme is long spoiled before it rises to the top. There is no room for justice or strength of character among those whose soul purpose is in fulling self-aspirations. And they all know each other, all too well.
