When sociopaths are thwarted and exposed they go berserk, inadvertently having no idea of their impudency. But the real seriousness is in their blatant crimes of high treason and Constitutional oath perjury never before seen in America. Everywhere I go now people are awake and very concerned to say the least.

Interesting, Dr Orly, as you evoked the Nazi era recently in the way the FBI was acting in “gestapo” fashion.

To continue that analogy, the party of Schickelgruber (to avoid the “H” word), Goering, Goebbels ad nauseam, used the Durbin Technique ALL THE TIME.

Those whom the regime vilified were routinely called “rats,” “vermin,” and “Untermenschen” (sub-humans). The Left in the USA has learned its tyrannous ways well, and Alinsky’s disciples have become his henchmen.

To read that the GOP is going to hold the (hurd from hell) accountable is very refreshing!

Hmmm…are things starting to swing back to sanity…like the perpetual pendulum of justice? I think I see Orly starting to smile with a healthy grin!! 🙂

Au contraire!! durbin, reid and obama are sitting back and salivating over the assured further escalation and implementation of the obama agenda with the concurrence of the entire Congress.

99.9% of the legislators currently serving in BOTH houses of congress, and applying the letter “R” as their political affiliation — with its supposed set of values and principles — are in fact nothing more than obama supporting ‘pond scum’ released from obama’s ‘cesspool of tyranny’ to feast voraciously on the American people who elected them, in good faith, to represent the values they duplicitously espoused as they were ‘wooing’ trusting voters to give them a lifetime pension and exemptions from obamacare; with which the rest of us must now irrevocably live.

It is the height of naivete for any single one of us to imagine, in our wildest dreams, that the ‘rinocrats’ will change their spots and stand up for the Rights granted us in the US the Constitution which they swore to uphold in their oath of office.

NO!! the ‘sub rosa’ deal among the establishment legislators has already been cut — while allowing for more than sufficient bluster and posturing to impress the necessary voters to ensure reelection — and the following will ultimately occur:

    (1) obamacare will be fully funded and fully irrevocably implemented by the 536 dictators in Washington (including obama,) who with their staffs and underlings will be exempted from mandated compliance with it. This implementation will be rammed down our throats and at the whim of the secretary in charge, with rules and regulations that carry the force of law, and which are proclaimed outside the pervue of Congress, without Congressional approval and certainly without oversight or challenge — since the ‘rinocrats’ in Congress are in full favor of the obama agenda resulting in the complete destruction of the future of America.

    (2) the debt ceiling will be raised to whatever limits the obama demands without challenge; to ensure no additional fights over unbridled continuous borrowing and spending will surface while he is in office; and, of course,

    (3) the imaginary ‘shut down’ of government will be breathlessly and miraculously avoided as we are saved, by ‘rinocrat’ surrender, from the catastrophic rhetoric that the-sky-is-getting-ready-to-fall so that the printing of imaginary money and the spending to boost the phantom imaginary economic recovery obama has so brilliantly and personally orchestrated will continue unabated.

Wake up and smell the evil of the ‘rinocrats!’

More denigration of America via “Core Curriculum:”

On Fox & Friends this morning a mother who was horrified when her fourth grader, age nine, came home asking what the words “pimp” and “monsta” were.

When confronted, the teacher explained that there were terms which were “MUCH WORSE” in the Core Curriculum for Fourth Grade.

Obama should be charged with War Crimes for aiding Al Qaeda and for cultural tyranny in the child abuse wrought upon the Nation by the party which he leads.

Perhaps after the Million Trucker event, millions of decent parents should tell Obama to “go to hell!”

That word is in the Bible, and surely the children would have heard IT in Sunday School.

It is the opposite of Heaven, and it is where Soetoro belongs.

I am baffled how Obama has lied, yet again, claiming he will “work with The Republicans” on the horrible Obamacare issue, yet he is doing absolutely nothing of the sort. I pray for a complete shutdown and then he will be FORCED to work with The Republicans.

    There will be no filibuster.

To begin with, the Senate ordinarily operates by unanimous consent, which means that the works can be gummed up if even one senator doesn’t want to proceed to the next order of business. This is how the filibuster works. The Majority Leader asks for unanimous consent to consider a bill or a nomination. If the debate has begun on an issue or nominee, the Majority Leader will eventually ask for unanimous consent to end debate and have a vote. At either point, a single senator can object. What happens next is that the Majority Leader invokes Rule XXII and calls for a cloture vote. The cloture vote is not debatable. A senator cannot withhold his consent and prevent a cloture vote. And this is why Ted Cruz can’t filibuster the CR. Let me explain.
A filibuster can work in one of two ways. On most bills and nominations, the Majority and Minority Leader get together and make an agreement on which amendments will get votes and how much time each side will have for debate. They get unanimous consent for these agreements, so you can’t exceed the allotted time for debate. In these cases, the filibuster is ruled out. But, when the Majority and Minority leader cannot arrive at a consent agreement, then the Majority Leader must ask for unanimous consent to begin debate and to end debate, and the latter case is where an actual talking filibuster can come into play. While the Majority Leader can call for a cloture vote, he can’t make a senator shut up and sit down in the absence of a consent agreement. However, if cloture is invoked on the front-end, before debate begins, then Rule XXII kicks in and makes a filibuster impossible. If cloture fails on the front-end, that is the second type of filibuster: the silent kind.

So, here is how this would work. Harry Reid would make a motion to proceed to consideration of the Continuing Resolution. Some Republican senators would object. Harry Reid would call for a cloture vote (which can’t be debated). He’d have to wait a day to have the vote but it would get more than the required 60 votes. Once cloture was invoked, Rule XXII says that each side shall have no more than 15 hours to debate and that no senator can speak for more than one hour nor have more than two hours ceded to them by other senators. So, Ted Cruz would be limited to, at most, three hours of floor time in any debate over the Continuing Resolution.

The key here is that the filibuster is really not possible if there are 60 votes for cloture. The Republicans could defeat the cloture vote if 41 of them voted against it, and that would be a silent filibuster. Ted Cruz wouldn’t get to talk. But they eventually have to consider a bill to keep the government operating. And once they agree to that, a simple majority of 50 (with the veep casting the tie-breaking vote) will be sufficient to pass the spending bill.

    1. dems have only 52 seats in the Senate, 2 independents, 46 Republicans. Democrats do not have 60 votes for cloture
    2. Democrats can only pass the bill sent to them by Congress, which allows raising the debt ceiling without Obamacare. They cannot unilaterally add any and all garbage to the bill they got from the House

Orly, you correctly note that “a lot of anger is building”. I might add that bitter resentment and utter outrage are building, too!

At a time when 43 cents of every dollar that our profligate, self-absorbed politicians spend on essentials, as well as non-essentials and waste is BORROWED, I was incensed by billionaire Obama supporter Warren Buffett’s pompous claim that not lifting the U.S. debt ceiling would be “pretty damn dumb”.

He sure has his nerve! Such arrogance and contempt for those of us and our children who must eventually pay higher taxes and suffer lower living standards in order to re-pay the borrowed money! In view of our bankrupt nation’s staggering debt and threat to its currency in world markets, how about “Not cutting the unsustainable spending of borrowed money would be “pretty damn dumb”?
