A court in Moscow has charged two men in connection with the murder of Russian opposition activist Boris Nemtsov. The two, named as Anzor Gubashev and Zaur Dadayev, are of Chechen origin, according to Russian media reports.
Order to hold Dadaev incarcerated for trial, issued by Judge Natalia Mushnikova, states that Zaur Dadaev admitted to being the assassin of Nemtsov. So far, the motif of the assassination was not released to the public, however, one of the suspected motiffs , was Nemtsov’s criticism of Islam, particuarly after Paris massacre of Journalists and Jews. All 5 of individuals arrested for murder and conspiracy to commit murder of Nemtsov, are Muslim Chechens. There is still a possibility of another motif for assassination.
