CNN’s Cupp: Blackburn ‘perfect’ VP pick for Trump
By Joe Concha           Marsha Blackburn should be Donald Trump’s VP selection.

That’s according to CNN political commentator S.E. Cupp, who believes the congresswoman (R-TN) would be the best choice to be Trump’s running mate. Cupp made her recommendation earlier Wednesday on CNN Newsroom with Pamela Brown.

“I think a perfect pick for him (Trump) would be congressman Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee,” said Cupp, who has been a critic of Trump.
“She is skilled politically, she’s been a congressman for ten years, over ten years. She’s also a business owner herself, so she’s got a business mind like his. I think she softens his ticket, but she’s still a very tough person.

“I know her personally and have worked with her,” Cupp continued.

“She’s tough. She’s not easily rattled. She’s used to the spotlight. She does a lot of public appearances and television, she’s very savvy,” she said.

Cupp also said that given Trump and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s low approval ratings, the vice presidential picks could be important.

Back in February, Blackburn — a staunch Trump supporter — appeared to be open to the idea of being his VP selection.

“I don’t know of anybody who would not consider (being asked),” Blackburn told The Hill’s Molly Hooper.
