Is there any similarity between the bomb mailed to Sheriff Arpaio and the bombs in Boston? does anyone have n answer?

I was thinking, what happened lately that might be a part of a pattern. Lately there was an assassination of a sheriff in WV, a bomb was sent to Sheriff Arpaio.

I was wondering if there is any connection between those events. We know that the bombs used in Boston contained ball bearings, cut off nails or similar pieces of metal. The FBI knows more about the specifics of the detonator and so on. I was wondering if there is any similarity between those bombs. If there is, there might be a breakthrough, as one can possibly get handwriting sample from the writing on the box, possibly fingerprints, trace the origin of the parcel
