The Texas Nationalist Movement is working to give Texas Republicans the right to cast a ballot in favor of re-establishing Texas as an independent republic in March via the petition process defined in Texas election law. Response to the potential of a non-binding referendum on independence from has been extremely positive all over the State, with block-walkers reporting receiving signatures from as high as 80% of the registered Republicans they reached in their canvassing using the voter registration lists provided by each county.

    I posted the above in response to a comment about the petition for Alaska to secede and join Russia.
    “this sounds like a subversion from the left. No real American would even think of this kind of treason!”

    The Texas Primary was March 4. The Republicans had 6 referendums on the ballot. I don’t think the referendum to secede was listed.
