Subject Damon Dunn
Question Dear Sir: The Duval County Supervisor of Elections in Florida
has stated that Damon Dunn was a registered Democrat in Florida and he
never gave any notice that he was changing his party affiliation.
According to his CA Voter Registration on March 9, 2009, he was
registering as Republican. Ten months later, on November 5, 2009 he
filed on Candidate Intention Statement Form 501 that he seeks the
office of Secretary of State. According to Rule 8001a(2) states that
one should not be affiliated with another party for 12 months prior to
official declaration of candidacy. Is Damon Dunn’s candidacy
legitimate? We want to know if we can donate to his campaign. If he is
not a legitimate candidate, then our contribution is wasted.
