I was correct. Putin’s Blietzkrieg in Syria stalled, is bogged down

As I predicted, Putin’s offensive in Syria stalled. Russia and Iran are in a quagmire. Iranian Shiah forces are facing heavy resistance from Sunni forces, which are financed by the Saudi Arabia. As I stated before, Shiah and Sunni tag of war existed for 1200 years. We did not start it and we will not end it. American boys should not be losing their lives, standing in the middle, playing a referee and taking bullets from both sides, who see any westerners as unwelcome crusaders.
Putin might soon realize that Syria is his second Afghanistan where thousands of Russians were killed and maimed between 1979-1989.
Further, Putin will see a renewed wave of hatred and terrorism by minority Muslim Chechens, Osetians and Tatars against Russians, who are Orthodox -Christians.
This war will cost Russia and Iran a fortune and will not lead to a complete victory for Assad. I believe that we will see a de facto or de jure partition of Syria.
At the moment, Sunni forces in Syria and Iraq serve as a firewall, as a buffer or a wedge between different Shiah nations and are preventing a formation of a strong Shiah caliphate.
Trump expressed the same opinion. He stated that as long as different fractions are fighting each other,we should not get involved.

Russia has not committed any ground troops. Only committed force are navy and air force.
They do have some grounded forces but these are akin to our marines and are just being used protect air and naval bases and number only around 1500.

I agree Orly. We can stop the war by not making it a campaign issue. All we need to do is let the Arab countries know both parties agree to start playing hardball. We do not have to risk massive amounts of our men and women with ground forces. Once we start taking them out one by one in their own bedrooms while they sleep at night they will get the message. We can isolate them and shut them without any risk to our forces. It could be settled with a combination of hard ball diplomacy and if that don’t start taking them apart piece by piece without putting our forces in harms way.
