I remember seeing an order by Clinton to disarm troops on bases. Can someone fight this order?
Some Obama supporters point to an order in 1992, but it was related to police personal in DOD and I do not see any signatures by the president, which president finally signed this directive to take away the arms from members of the military on bases, to take away their Second Amendment rights and make them sitting ducks for terrorists and people on some psychotropic drugs.
It is time to turn the chairs on our ruling mafia: rescind the order depriving members of the military of their 2nd amendment rights and make the White House and the Congress “gun free zone”, no armed security for Obama and Congress, they can wait a few minutes for the police, if some terrorist or crazy man start shooting.

Dear Orly,
Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas (phone: 202-225-2401; fax: 202-225-5955; who is chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee) and Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas (phone: 202-225-1555; fax: 202-226-0396) have both expressed dissatisfaction with the gun-free-zone policy on military bases.
Congress has banned the possession of any “firearm or other dangerous weapon in a Federal facility” [18 USC, Sec. 930], so any change to that policy lies with congress.
Rep. Stockman’s bill, H.R. 3199, the “Safe Military Bases Act, repeals: (1) Army Regulation 190-14, entitled “Carrying of Firearms and Use of Force for Law Enforcement and Security Duties”; and (2) Department of Defense Directive Number 5210.56. Nullifies any provision in any other law, rule, regulation, or executive order that prohibits military personnel trained in firearms from carrying officially issued or personally owned firearms on military bases.

Michael McCaul Supports Concealed Weapons At Fort Hood In Wake Of Shooting

McCaul said the “problem” in both Fort Hood shootings was that members of the military were not armed, and thus unable to “defend themselves.”
“So I think the policy makers, Congress, we need to revisit this procedure, this policy to see if we should arm them so they can better protect themselves,” McCaul said.
He faces opposition from the Fort Hood commander. “I don’t think soldiers should have concealed weapons on base,” Lt. Gen. Mark Milley said at a news conference Wednesday night.

This Is Why Most Military Personnel Aren’t Armed on Military Bases — and It’s Not Clinton’s Fault

It appears this “gun-free zone” type policy can actually be traced back to Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 5210.56, signed into effect in February 1992 by Donald J. Atwood, deputy secretary of defense under President George H.W. Bush.
It appears DoD Directive 5210.56 was reissued in April 2011 by Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn III.
Some outlets are citing Army Regulation 190-14, a policy implemented in 1993 that changed policy regarding carrying firearms on the Army’s military bases, to cast blame on Clinton.
However, that policy specifically notes part of its purpose is aimed at implementing “applicable portions of Department of Defense Directive 5210.56,” which, as previously stated, was put into effect by Bush Sr.’s deputy secretary of defense:
Army regulation 190-14 actually implements a policy put in under George H.W. Bush, meaning Bill Clinton is not responsible for a lack of armed personnel on military bases. Additionally, the DoD 9spokesman (Mark Wright) told TheBlaze the Army regulation wouldn’t apply to other branches of the military like the Navy.
TheBlaze reached out to members of both the Senate and House Armed Services Committee to see if the policy will be revisited in light of Monday’s shooting. At the time of publication, no one was available for comment.
