Huge loss for human rights in Saudi Arabia. Trump should have included human rights demands in agreement to sell them all of those weapons.

Like demand that women should not be stoned to death, beheaded, or hung, for ‘dishonoring’ a man. What a lost opportunity. Trump needs way better advisers.

So we get the same result with a muslim usurper obama and with a capitalist.

Trump will not change their society, the change there needs to come from within, however they bought $380 billion worth of equipment. American workers will have jobs, higher wages, will be able to pay their mortgages, health care and so on

No one can separate the Saudis from Islam. As long as they follow the Koran and practice sharia, they will keep their backward and inhumane 7th Century social rules.

I beg to differ. Set up a women’s council in Saudi for human rights. Those are cop out statements. Something could have been done, but Trump didn’t try.

True, he could have tried, but did not try, and
it is possibly because that is an ancient
belief, horrific lives for not only women, but
some men, such as the homosexuals,

and if he had brought up this monumental
    suggestion, to change their ancient
    ritualistic customs,he would have
    become, on the spot, untrustworthy
and the deal would have been negated.

Trump has to be cautious and not
make too many waves. Those people
are not stable in their mental
    capacity.

well cpt b. Melania didn’t wear a scarf.

and its no cop out…its a new relationship forming…I am very sure Saudis know where America stands on those issues.
andwouldnt that type of thing be a function of ambassador or someone else

Starlight, at first I thought you were going to say that Trump would have been a human rights hero in the like of Martin Luther King, but you disappointed me.

Trump knows first hand the evilness of radical Islam from being a resident of NYC.

Nothing has changed since the evil liar obama, and the Bushes in regard to allowing evil Saudi to buy America’s soul. I like Trump and had high aspirations that he would be a man of high morals. Disappointed in this regard in terms of our further entanglements with the real terrorist nation of Saudi Arabia.

Since none of us know the man, personally,
and never will unless we win some
    national award,

it is prudent to wait and see how
    President Trump navigates his way
    through the new-found relationship with
    Saudi Arabia.

It is highly improbable that a country
and countries, so set in their barbaric
    customs, will change overnight,to gain
    a U.S. President’s approval.

Those cultures simply do NOT want to
change. It has been thousands of
years; no martyr, no king, no
individual has been able to make
    these people/males become humanized.

In a movieland world, the submissive
women would rise up, having chosen
    a strong leader
    with charisma and weaponry skills,

and when the battles were done, the
    defeated men would become submissive
    or pay the price.

Now that would be worth the price
    of admission.
