A “pound’ of butter is now 15 oz. A “half gallon” of ice cream (64 oz) is now 48 oz.
A can of tuna fish, which used to be 6 oz. is now “net weight” 5 oz., “Dr. weight” 4 oz. (An ounce of water in each can)
Dry cereal is packed loosely, having eliminated an ounce or two. Etc. Etc. Etc. Prices have gone up for less product.
