The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected an appeal from “birther” attorney Orly Taitz, who sought to overturn a decision by Columbus federal judge Clay Land fining her $20,000.
Taitz faced sanctions in the case of Capt. Connie Rhodes, who in September 2009 questioned the legitimacy of Barack Obama’s presidency. U.S. District Court Judge Clay Land imposed the sanctions in late 2009 after he warned Taitz and then gave her a time limit to explain why he shouldn’t fine her.
The high court on Monday did not comment in refusing to hear the appeal filed by the California lawyer and dentist. Taitz said on Monday that she would ask the Supreme Court to reconsider.
“If it is denied, I will go to an international court,” Taitz told the Ledger-Enquirer. “I will be filing a proper complaint with the Committee of the Judiciary with the U.S. House.”

Orly,
Please elaborate on your appeal to the international courts. Can they overturn the U.S. Supreme Court and order them to hear your case?

Orly:…I’d be judicious in your discussion with Elliot or others in this situation. Why should this matter to him? Does anyone know whom this “Curious George” is?
Elliot, one, sometimes, should not become too “inquizitive” in certain matters! I thought it was super that Orly has another “avenue, as an option”! But I wouldn’t try to [“pump her”] for info!
I think that’s rude! And unless, Orly knows you, why would she need to explain herself to you? If she wants to discuss this…she would’ve done so to all of us? But I think it’s good that she consider leaving certain info a “mystery”!?
I hope this does the job, Orly. Keep coming up with “options” to keep going! Ph.D’s love the word “options!” It’s the “life blood” of success! And it does help with the philosophy of: “not believing in a ‘NO-WIN’ scenario!”
I think going to another source or two is a great idea!!!! With all that Orly has been through, every option is a “diamond in the rough!” Maybe the “cowards” need a Kick in the pants, to “make them do their jobs”! I support her being brief on this subject!

Phil, the reality (do you even know what that is?) is that Orly’s appeals are over. There are no other options, no “other sources” (that’s an actual quote from your post – another example of the correct use of quotation marks) – the SCOTUS is the end of the line. She’ll have to pay the fine, but at least she won’t have to spend her own money. The funds will be provided by people like you.
