    “Natural Born’ implies inherently

    “UNENCUMBERED”

    by other national albeit Citizenship claims/derivative qualities, yet Cruz, in all ways admirable, is

    TERRIBLY ENCUMBERED!

    So much “encumbered” that he had to RENOUNCE Canadian Citizenship.

    If HIS father did not renounce Cuban citizenship in Canada, Cruz would also have derivative qualities to hold CUBAN citizenship.

    Even were CRUZ were found to be eligible, America as a nation has to have a CLEAR Answer.

    Those of us in American high schools through the 70s learned “JUS SANGUINIS et JUS SOLI/ Citizenship by blood AND place”…to avoid terrible consequences of allegiance such as OBAMA now.

    Not that Cruz loves anything but the USA, but the

    CAVEAT

    was written that way, hence must be followed.

    Ted Cruz is not going to find a way out of his mess because he mad the mess. If he had done nothing he would have been an Automatic Naturalized Citizen which is only a Citizen not a natural born citizen under his mother. His father was nothing but a Cuban and does not even enter the picture. But Ted made the mess and now would not even be a Citizen because Automatic Naturalized Citizenship means nothing without the primary coverage or Canadian citizenship.
