Congressman Louie Gohmert announces his run for Speaker of the House. Please, call every congressman to vote for Louie Gohmert. We have to stop corrupt Boehner! Rep. Louie Gohmert Announces Run for Speaker of House (Video)

Only 25% of Republicans vote Boehner to e the Speaker.

Majority of Republicans want Boehner replaced.

Every fourth Republican is following me and stating that he will not vote for GOP in 2016, unless there are major changes.

In my opinion both Boehner and McConnell need to be replaced.

In 20012 9 GOP congressmen had the guts to vote against Boehner. We need 29 Republicans to vote against Boehner to kick him out of speakership. Boehner used the same dirty tricks as Pelosi and Obama.

    A truly viable and genuine alternative in my estimation!!!

    Not that the will of the gop voting electorate will be allowed to be heard — much less succeed — against the tyranny of the entrenched rinocrat establishment.

    Louie is very conservative and against amnesty. Let’s get behind Louie Gohmert for Speaker of the House. He will be great.

    I am confused by this. Maybe you can explain further.

    There are 435 voting members in the House of Representatives.

    They need 218 seats needed for a majority.

    If 406 vote FOR Boehner and only 29 vote AGAINST Boehner, how will he be kicked out as Speaker?

    the way it goes, a person has to get a majority of votes in order to be a speaker. Boehner has to get 218. There are 247 Republicans. Democrats will vote for Pelosi. If 29 Republicans will vote for Gohmert, them Boehner will not her 218, he will have only 217 and it will go to the second round. Conservatives might hold over until Boehner steps down and someone else, another Republican will run

    But the problem is that if this goes to a second round of voting, Boehner (or another candidate) will start courting Democrats. if he can cut enough deals and enough of them vote for him (because they certainly won’t want Gohmert) we’ll be even worse off because he will owe them. It could even happen on the first round because they know that the speaker will be a Republican and a vote for Pelosi is purely symbolic, at this point.

    Boehner already owes them for voting for the omnibus.
    Also, if Boehner becomes a speaker with the help of the Democrats, there will be a strong primary challenge against him in OH in 2016.
