    I was watching that interview just as I was walking out the door to go to work and totally saw this… I also noticed the eye rub which indicates an attempt to hide behind his hand as he lied..
    I’m no expert but do recall a long time ago watching a show on the subject of how body language is analyzed to detect lies..

    1 he knew he was going to lie.
    2 he tried to hide
    3 his conscious spoke truth
    4 only after the truth was he able to recover

    that’s how i see it
