Can someone contact AOL?

Posted on | December 6, 2009 | 2 Comments

I have been watching the threatening posts on Orly’s site from Peter Nantucket
(IP: 71.112.191.144) I see his email is registered with America Online (ptn@aol.com)
I have access to an online business database called Hoovers.com. I looked up AOL and found the following address and contact information for their headquarters in New York:

AOL LLC
770 Broadway
New York, NY 10003 United States

Phone:               212-652-6400         212-652-6400

Tim Armstrong, Chairman & CEO
Arthur (Artie) Minson, EVP & CFO
Theodore R. (Ted) Cahall Jr., CTO
Kimberly Strong, VP & Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer
Jon Brod, EVP AOL Ventures

I think it would be wise to contact them and report Peter Nantucket and let them know of his threatening emails. I’m sure he is in violation of AOL’s email account Terms and Conditions which would be grounds for shutting down his account. I would imagine you are already on top of it, but I thought this information might be of help.

Also, I’m sure you are already aware, but Orly’s site is still re-directing to other miscellaneous random sites. I usually have to log on at least twice before the redirecting stops. I still think her site could be migrated over to a Secure Socket Layer site (SSL) with 128-bit encryption to stop the hacking and re-directing. If you would like, I would be happy to do a little research on this to see if it is possible and what it would take to accomplish.

Regards,

Scot
