Without the TAA, the TPA cannot be sent to Obama’s desk. The TAA provision was part of the Trade Promotion Authority, or TPA, bill already passed by the Senate. With fast-track stalled in the House, The Washington Post reports that Boehner will bring the TAA back up for consideration Tuesday. If the TAA fails again, TPA is also dead.

These Reps voted for the TAA, we need to convince them otherwise. The ones who voted no will be targeted this weekend by Obama.

 

Trade Adjustment Assistance, or TAA, which would have provided money to workers who had lost their jobs, ostensibly as a result of foreign trade.

    Dear Orly,

    Thank you for posting this list of House votes. My Dem. rep. actually voted NO on the TAA, and I sent him an e-mail thanking him for his NO vote, and I asked him to vote NO again if Speaker Boehner brings the TAA back up for vote on Tuesday, and to please vote NO again if Obama targets him over the weekend by bringing pressure to change his vote.
