On Sunday, President Obama flew back to the United States on Air Force One. His wife, two daughters  and her mother did a bit of shopping in Paris before taking their own Boeing 757 (C-32) over to London to do some sight seeing.

 

We all remember Obama’s admonishment to corporate CEOs in February:

“You can’t get corporate jets, you can’t go take a trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayers dime.”

 

Apparently that doesn’t apply to his wife.

 

 The London Times opened it’s description of Michelle’s visit this way:

 

Motorcycle outriders, armoured Chevrolets and bullet-headed men in raincoats criss-crossed London yesterday as Michelle Obama and her daughters spent a second day on an unofficial visit to the capital.

 

The Times went on to describe that when Michelle and the girls arrived at Westminster Abbey, the building was  closed to tourists with people already in told to “wait against the wall.” An American visiting the Abbey said,  “Right then I knew it was probably someone from our royal family.”

Michelle’s motorcade shut down the London street above as the First Lady of the World and her children go for  Fish and Chips at a pub in Mayfair. The entourage inside the restaurant was 15 people while dozens more wait  outside. Include the dozens of Air Force personnel to fly and service the plane, embassy personnel and other  staff and we are talking about a serious expenditure of tax payer dollars.

 

 Meanwhile, millions of Americans have lost their jobs and won’t be able to take their family on a summer holiday. Despite their circumstances they’ll still be expected to fork over the tax dollars to pay for Michelle’s trip.

 

Tell your friends about this — it’s their money being spent!!

    Dear Dr. Orly-If I were highly critical of the prior administration and others re: spending the taxpayers money, I certainly would make every effort in my administration to avoid anything that would appear wasteful at best and/or squandering the taxpayers hard earned money. It is called maintaining a low profile. I’m sure that Michelle could have visited these places in a much more subdued fashion. I would be very afraid that people would see me as a hypocrite of epic proportions. If they are trying to impress the American taxpayers they are doing a great job, with the country in the straights that it is in today, they are really setting a great example.

    Denise: the website you’re posting goes to an article about Obama and the hospital he was born in. There is nothing about an auction or auction #.
    Maybe you should post the page you printed out.

    The link is for the WND post. More information is coming out that shows a discrepancy over which hospital he claims to be born. It’s only a matter of time.

    Here is what the eBay seller now says:

This auction will be relisted. One objective of this final auction, the 7th (along with the 6th), was to disclose more information to the reader. Only during these last two auctions was Smith’s full name leaked. If you remember I added three additional photos to the previous acution. In an added segment of description I referred to Smith as “Lucas”. You now learned that Smith was Lucas Smith. In the auction’s descriptive body is was explained that Smith was the author of several books. You were also briefed regarding Smith’s Youtube account. “InspectorSmith”. InspectorSmith’s profile page has now begun to resemble something similar to an online blog, surrounding the bc of O. I support and encourage the further development of this blog. Please continue to post. It makes no difference whether your opinions be in support of or not. Even funny comments about Smith’s always wearing the same hat are welcome, he’s not taken offense to these comments and has found them very comical.”

    Below that statement by the seller is the sentence:

    “O’s African b.c. will be disclosed to the world”

    I have been on InspectorSmith’s Youtube profile page and had posted the night before this comment was added to the sellers page that I believed he would get far more money if he had posted the autographed photo after he released the Kenyan birth certificate.

    My opinion: I still believe the Kenyan document exists, I am just no longer convinced that this individual has it in his possession. He had answered another blog poster’s question that he was being told by the press, for him and his attorney to not release the birth certificate yet. He had also said it was being authenticated. The dates given for the this was July 3rd. This is one of those “you make the call”. If it turns out to be legit, we can all breath a sigh of relief. If not, then we’re right back where we started.
