When I log in I get only a page that says “You are not allowed to edit this page.”

    No.
    I get normal access to comment, but when I write a comment and click ‘Submit Comment’ the page goes blank, with no indication if my comment was accepted for moderation.
    Then if I go back to the main page and then back to the article I commented on then click on ‘comments’, my comment is listed as awaiting moderation.
