ABC over-polls Democrats by 9% and shows Clinton leading by 1%, that means that Trump is actually leading by at least 5-6%

Gallop polls the population to see how many registered Democrats and registered Republicans are there in the population.

Gallop did not provide any data for October. However, July through  September polls show that the registration ranges between even number to 5% more Democrats. The average for the last 3 months is about 2-3%. The latest ABC daily national poll has 9% more Democrats than Republicans and this poll shows Clinton leading by 1%. This means that if  you take a real distribution of Democrats and Republicans, not bogus that ABC has, Trump is leading by 5-6%.

Moreover, huge rallies held by Donald Trump, show that there is much more excitement among Republicans, meaning that more registered Republicans are likely to actually go to the polls and vote, then Democrats. That adds to Trump’s lead among likely voters.

Trend: Party affiliation in U.S. plus leaners
