In the clip I saw at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBa_xayTF0g Colbert didn’t mock you as badly as I expected him to. You did well and it was great that you covered the dual citizenship issue; that’s really the main legal point of this whole matter. I’d say that was an interview worth doing, and maybe it at least has some Obama supporters reconsidering the issue.

Dear Dr. Orly-on a lighter note re: Colbert interview, so what did your son the comedian think of his mother? I’m very curious. My neighbor brought me some older issues of Newsweek, recently Stephen Colbert went to Iran to visit the soldiers, that is why his hair is in the process of growing back.

Colbert brought up the issue of Chester A. Arthur, who also was not a natural born citizen. Colbert tried to make the point that it did no real damage to the nation. He misses that point, that deliberately ignoring the Constitution when it is desirable to do so can lead to all kinds of trouble in the future. Are the articles and amendments in the Constitution merely guidelines that we can pick and choose from at the whim of the moment? That’s exactly what Colbert is suggesting.
On the flip side, Colbert is actually admitting that Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen, but it is ok since Chester A. Arthur wasn’t either and things turned out ok. Way to go Colbert. This is truly what liberals are thinking, even though they won’t admit it. They don’t feel they should have to obey the Constitution.

Something that may be of assistance — probably not much assistance as far as an official argument, but at least it helps to historically make the point — is this quote from Madison in the Virginia ratifying convention of the Constitution.
“It is to be presumed that, in transactions with foreign countries, those who regulate them will feel the whole force of national attachment to their country. The contrast being between their own nation and a foreign nation, is it not presumable they will, as far as possible, advance the interest of their own country?”
Quoted from: Madison. “Thursday, June 19, 1788” (misprinted by Jonathan Elliot as “Wednesday, June 18, 1788”). Jonathan Elliot. “The Debates in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Virginia, on the Adoption of the Federal Constitution.” The Debates in the Several State Conventions on the Adoption of the Federal Constitution. Book compiled by Jon Roland of The Constitution Society, September 5, 1995 at https://www.constitution.org/elliot.htm Updated October 21, 2001. Specific section which was cited accessed July 29, 2009. https://www.constitution.org/rc/rat_va_16.htm
Madison’s point reflects the mindset that a government official involved in foreign affairs will obviously seek the interests of his own country more than that of another country, and that in fact, they will seek their own country’s interests to the fullest possible extent. This gives us good reason to believe that the founders intended to exclude dual citizens (like Obama) from the ‘natural born’ category, seeing as a dual citizen may well have conflicting national interests, rendering such a person incapable of fully and properly representing the foreign interests of the United States. In Obama’s own case, he had foreign citizenship until he was an adult, by which time he would certainty have had the chance to intellectually-develop at least something of a national attachment.

Dig up the ALLEGED FATHER and make him a citizen. Please don’t give the ObaMORONS any more RIDICULOUS ideas they already made Obama/Soetoro, The BASTARD CHILD of unknown legal name or roots, a Hawaiian birth without seeing Documentation, while knowing there is outrage at all the Sealed Records and Obama/Soetoro’s refusal to show documents in around 100 lawsuits.
These LIE-berals, RINOs and all the other POLITICAL PIGS in Washington (Usurperville), District of Criminals will vote for anything not to offend Half-White.
Palin needs to Join up with Orly and at the opportune time call a joint press Conference and dressed in red, like the other lady, present their Documents, and DEMAND Obama/Soetoro show his.
I’m SHOWING YOU MINE, Obama SHOW US YOURS. Stand Up or Stand Down. SHOW or GO.
Than Palin should say:
Mr Obama Please UNITE America show Transparency on your Eligibilty for the Presidency otherwsie Follow my Lead and RESIGN. SHOW or GO!

I’ll admit, I didn’t see the “unedited” interview. But from what I did see, Colbert merely mentioned Chester Arthur as an example, not as an admission that Obama is not a natural-born citizen. Colbert’s example was more of a hypothetical situation with an example from the past.
