These are the new rules of engagement for leathernecks in Afghanistan.

Sound incredible? They’re true.

Welcome to the modern Marine Corps under Barack Hussein Obama.

On July 1, the U.S. military initiated Operation Khanjar or “Strike of the Sword,” an invasion of the Helmand Province by 4,000 Marines and 650 Afghan soldiers.

“Strike of the Sword” represents the first military operation to be ordered by Obama. The purpose of the campaign is to flush out Taliban operatives from southern Afghanistan in order to safeguard the re-election of Afghan President Hamid Karzai on August 20. The military initiative is being conducted by the insistence of Kharzai, who fears that a strong Taliban presence will produce unfavorable results for him on election-day.

To accomplish this objective, Obama remains determined to deploy 68,000 additional U.S. troops to southern Afghanistan within the next six weeks.

But the Marines, thanks to Obama, are conducting this mission with their hands tied.

The first order from America’s new faux-commander is that the Marines must not return enemy fire for fear of killing an Afghan non-combatant.

ABC Correspondent Mike Boettcher, who is embedded with Golf Company, reports that the young Marines, when ambushed by Taliban forces with automatic weapons, were ordered to shoulder their rifles. Their command, Boettcher writes, warned them that “one civilian casualty could negate the No. 1 objective of this operation — winning the trust and respect of the farmers of the Helmand River Valley.”

    We have got to get this guy out of office. He does not like America…bent on destroying America. He also wants the National Guard to go to the Mexico board, but without weapons.

    we need to get obama out as soon as soon as we can he is no leader or even a pres. july 13 2009 could be the biggest day for all of us . i pray that we can get our country back before obama just gives it away or get us all killed if this does not get to work we will need to impeach him asap. i thank you for taking your time and money to fight this case and i pray for you to win. he looks like the anit-christ and we dont need that. good luck and GOD BLESS YOU thank you so much steve

    Maybe Barack should lead them in and show them how to do this. George Washington led his men. I am sure Barack would be happy to oblige. Instead of marines, perhaps just let mainstream media march about and ensure the elections in Afghanistan.

Why be an American soldier that when attacked by an enemy you cannot shoot back? Why be there at all? It would help the enemy by not having anything to shoot at, especially you. What is this suicide by commander-in chief? When I know more of tactics than a novice in a nunnery; In short, when I’ve a smattering of elemental strategy, You’ll say a better Major-General had never …
    Anyone that is this irresponsible and stupid with no regard for the soldiers lives should not be allowed to help kindergartners across the street.

    Politicians playing games again..changing the rules of engagment and allowing the enemy to stiif the US…here we go again. It’s not like they will say “Oh, they’re not shooting lets all play nice and put our weapons down and sing”Gumbbyya”…What incredible stupidity Has Obama and the rest of the Liberal hunta …Throw the bums out and let’s WIN this thing…the enemy will not repect us for this only see it as weakness….
    Seeing this makes me so damn mad!!! When will they ever learn.Oh I know let’s appoligize one more time OBUMA…I have no more polite words for these idiots!!!

    Why don’t the Marines refuse the orders????? This mission is politically-motivated and will get our soldiers killed. Why don’t they stand up to this bully of a faux president???? We, the American people, are behind them 100%!!!!

    The Marines will follow orders but the people that thought up this crappy a$$ policy should be in the advance guard on the patrols and see how long before that policy changes!!
