Let’s get that wall built, and here’s how to do it.

During WW II the government issued war bonds to finance military operations and other expenditures in the time of war. The government took in Billions of dollars from private citizens, so why can’t the government issue WALL BONDS to build a wall to keep illegals and drugs out of America? This is just a thought, and maybe worth your consideration. And, please make sure the money from the WALL BONDS will be used exclusively for building the wall.
Yes, MAGA. People will buy WALL BONDS….. We bought WAR BONDS.

    Dear Orly,

    Here is one possible congressional solution to public volunteer funding for the Border Wall:

    On May 18, 2018 Rep. Diane Black introduced a bill to allow citizens to donate for a Border Wall Fund, and create a publically accessed website to receive the funds, funds to be used only to plan, design, construct, or maintain the U.S./Mexico border wall:

    “Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Diane Black (R-TN-06) introduced the Border Wall Trust Fund Act, which would create an account at the U.S. Treasury dedicated to holding public donations for the completion of the wall along the United States’ southern border.     The bill H.R. 5876 says:
    To allow the Secretary of the Treasury to accept public donations to fund the construction of a barrier on the border between the United States and Mexico

    Rep Black’s bill has 10 co-sponsors including Rep. Mark Meadows [R-NC-11] and Rep. Matt Gaetz[R-FL-1] who both signed up on 05/23/2018.
    The bill was referred to House Ways and Means committee and House Homeland Security committee on 5/18/2018 and to House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security on 6/4/2018.

    People could contact their House members to urge co-sponsorship and to vote for it.
