He was coming out with a hitpiece on the CIA. He had enemies in the FBI and CIA, and one of McChrystal’s associates had threatened to kill him after he took down the General.

“The New York Daily News highlights the fact that Hastings had received multiple death threats before his demise.

Following his role in bringing down Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, Hastings was told by a McChrystal staffer, “We’ll hunt you down and kill you if we don’t like what you write.”

“Whenever I’d been reporting around groups of dudes whose job it was to kill people, one of them would usually mention that they were going to kill me,” said Hastings.

Hastings was renowned for being “only interested in writing stories someone didn’t want him to write — often his subjects,” according to Buzzflash editor Ben Smith, adding, “He knew that there are certain truths that nobody has an interest in speaking, ones that will make you both your subjects and their enemies uncomfortable. They’re stories that don’t get told because nobody in power has much of an interest in telling them.”

Quarles Harris, Bill Gwatney, Vince Foster, Ron Brown, Senator Paul Wellstone, the DC Madam Jeannette Palfrey, RFK, JFK, numerous JFK witnesses, JFK Jr., Lee Harvey Oswald, MLK, Marilyn Monroe, and Princess Diana, but as the Hilde”beast” would say, “WHAT DOES IT MATTER?!?”

    This sickens me to no end. Here is a serious professional journalist doing his job and he is assassinated!! This is what it has come to in this country. Freedom of the Press is a thing of the past. College professors are now warning aspiring young journalists that if they report the truth they risk death!!

    I remember that Senator Rand Paul had asked if Americans are being killed on American soil. I believe that this qualifies…And it shows that the targets of these assassinations may have nothing to do with terrorism. Rather it has to do with opposition to this administration. This certainly must go forward to our Representatives. If we don’t challenge this, then we may no longer find that we have the democratic nation that we know and love.

    I’d say that (for me) there’s a lingering feeling of anger and knowing that we may have to get “down and dirty” with fighting! Hey, they need to know that WE ARE NOT AFRAID of the real world. They are the ones that have NO experience in this realm!!!

    They also assassinated Aaron Swartz, the former NFL star turned soldier – Pat Tillman, and another fearless investigative reporter/author, Gary Webb. For those of you who may still be drinking the Bush/GOP/Neocon Kool-Aid, Gary Webb was assassinated on December 10th, 2004, and Pat Tillman was assassinated on April 22nd, 2004, both of which occurred during Bush’s administration. Aaron Swartz was assassinated quite recently on January 11th, 2013…

    I know they intend to assassinate Snowden, if necessary. They are already talking about a CIA “rendition” operation, if possible, if they cannot obtain extradition, but if they deem rendition will be impossible, they will send a hitman or hitsquad to take him out.

    rfk killed marilyn. lbj, cia and bush sr offed jfk. the govt killed mlk and rfk…i hear jfk jr was killed by the bushes and bubba because they did not want him getting to bottom of his fathers hit if he became president. the clintons have had a lot of people murdered too…barry is not only psychopath who was in white house but he is the worst

    Here’s one our media is dead silent about. This journalist and author, David Chase Taylor, is seeking asylum in Switzerland. He uncovered a nuclear bomb plot by the US government to kill God only knows how many Americans at Superbowl XLV in Dallas, Texas, on Feb. 6, 2011. I bet you never head any of this in the US media…

    I tend to believe Marilyn Monroe was assassinated by the mafia instead of RFK. It was true that she was having affairs with both JFK and RFK, and she had become a liability of sorts for the Kennedys. J. Edgar Hoover, a conspirator himself in JFK’s assassination, was bugging all of Marilyn’s phone lines and using this information to blackmail the Kennedys. Marilyn had lethal doses of barbiturates in her bloodstream, but no trace whatsoever in her stomach, which automatically rules out suicide. In addition, one of her windows in her house was broken that night of her murder. She also had bruise marks on the back of her legs. All of this points to the obvious conclusion that she was forcibly given a barbiturate enema. This was a preferred means of “suiciding” enemies of the mafia at the time, and it is an established fact that the mafia was heavily involved in the plot to kill JFK. The mafia gave JFK the Presidency with the vote-rigging in Illinois, and then the Kennedy’s wet after the mob, so the mob felt double-crossed by the Kennedys. Marilyn had to be taken out in August of 1962 because she caught wind of the plot to assassinate JFK over a year before they killed JFK. She was trying to give this information to the Kennedys, so they assassinated her.

    They likely took that Marine Sniper out. Possibly out of fear he could get some of them once they may have realized they could not turn him and he would stay on the side of decency.

    Americans are not used to dealing with what is going on in this country. Our citizens are about sitting ducks for the stealth dealing going on behind the scenes because of the trust factor. Most Americans have had, at the least, the illusion of security where we have never had to deal with politics in every aspect of our lives, social and otherwise.
