Suspicious Weapons Found In Laguna Niguel Home

Posted: Sep 02, 2014 3:08 PM PDTUpdated: Sep 02, 2014 3:08 PM PDT

LAGUNA NIGUEL (CNS) – Orange County sheriff’s investigators responding to a domestic violence report found 40 weapons, most of them rifles, grenades and “precursors to explosives” in a Laguna Niguel home today.  The photos in this story come from the OC Sheriff’s Twitter account.

Deputies went to the home at 25 Fairlane Road about 12:40 a.m. to handle a domestic violence report, Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock said. A 56-year-old man at the home, whose name was not immediately released, was booked on suspicion of domestic violence, Hallock said. While they were at the home, Hallock said, investigators found the guns as well as grenades and military ordnance devices. The ordnance and grenades were later found to be inert, the lieutenant said.

Deputies also found substances and chemicals, which Hallock described as “precursors to explosives.” Investigators were trying to determine what the suspect intended to do with the weapons, if anything, and whether he had broken any laws regulating firearms or explosives.

40 weapons found close to your house? I’m confused. So what? It’s Orange County – 40 weapons is a beginner’s collection. Based on the photo, I don’t see one weapon there that is illegal. The “grenades” are inert; toys. Why post this? Why would you perpetuate the anti-gun fear mongering that the police are guilty of by portraying this as some kind of freakish, over-the-top collection of firearms? This is nothing. If this scares you or anybody else, then I venture you’d really be freaked-out to know what the rest of your neighbors have in their homes.

Itchik, you apparently live in a dream world.

If I, in my quiet, residential, exclusive neighborhood, learned of that amount of weaponry, although it may be ‘inert,’
I and my peace-loving American neighbors,

would indeed be distraught, support the
police in their investigation, not consider
our local police as our enemies, and be
grateful that they are on our side,

when someone nearby has decided to
    indulge in ‘domestic violence’ which

COULD BE a pre-cursor of another
type of violence, i.e. random shooting
in a mall or on our residential streets.

In Dr. Orly’s capacity of our
    intercessor against the
crimes of our government, it is prudent
to have a bit of speculation concerning
    weapons near her vicinity.

Only a fool would belittle this type
    of overt behaviour.

As for being ‘freaked out’ if we all
knew what is in our neighbor’s homes,

well, MANY of us do not live in
dives or hovels or run-down shacks.

Some of us have patriotic neighbors
and if they own guns, they have permits.

I guess it all is according to what
    is in YOUR neighborhood, Itchik.

Starlight: You are a hand-wringing fool. Did I say I support domestic violence? No I did not. What you utterly fail to comprehend is that NONE of these weapons are illegal. The ONLY reason they were labeled “suspicious” is because the idiot who wrote the headline (not Orly, whom I love and support – with my money, btw) does not know anything about guns. This is PURE PROPAGANDA designed to further villainize firearms – you IDIOT! Do you understand that the very people who support Orly are primarily conservatives, libertarians and Constitutionalists who understand our rights and are armed to the teeth? Do you understand that weapons near you PROTECT you and that the very person being portrayed as some kind of criminal is more than likely the person who would come to defend you if you were in danger? What was the true nature of the “domestic violence”? Was it an angry girlfriend who knew telling the police “there were guns in the house” would set-off the desired reaction? The article itself states that the guy probably hasn’t broken any firearms laws. You are the typical reactionary that the police and anti-freedom politicians are aiming at when they pretend that a “weapons cache” like the one above is somehow dangerous or unusual. It isn’t and all you have accomplished by posting your bloated hubris is to demonstrate your incredible ignorance. “permits” for “patriotic neighbors to own guns”? You are laughable. Climb down off your high horse and educate yourself.

Starlight. You keep drinking that Kool
Aid. It might interest you to know, that in most States it is perfectly legal for law abiding citizens to own legally transferable fully auto weapons. All you need do is do the paperwork, pass an FBI check and pay Uncle Sam a $200.00 fee per weapon. An an aside, gun registration leads to confiscation, which leads to genocide.

Ok, looks like a collector. a smoke grenade, a pineapple grenade from WWII, a grenada not the current frag type used by the Army,…there are some rusted mortor shells, 2 rounds of ammo
which he has no rifle to try and fire either,
most of his woodstock rifles are for hunting…
looks a WWII Carbine & two WWII sniper rifles..
. I don’t see any Ammo stockpiled for these. Then there are 3 Semi-Automatic AR-15 rifles of which 2 are short barrel and 1 long barrel with a scope for longer range. Looks like a flare gun, 22lr auto pistol, a revolver & two other pistols. As for the AR-15s, after Obama got re-elected the price of an AR-15 went from just under $1,000 to over $3,000 and has settled down some now…The only weapons I would go into a fire fight with would be the AR-15s with magazines that hold more ammo.

So, the big question is has he stock piled 1 to 2 thousand rounds of ammo, which would make him a prepper.

Itchik, I think this post should be removed, because it’s title doesn’t match the story. First off I only see 23 weapons and NOT FORTY (40). Second, so what if the sheriff found them in the house, they are perfectly legal to own. Third, The charge they came up with on the guy is a trumped up charge, suspicion of domestic violence, come on that’s like raising your voice at the TV calling Obama a dufuss. I’ll bet you this, I’ll bet you he gets his guns back and beats the charge. Itchik, let’s go get a beer and talk about the Pres.

The only concern I have are the 3 tape grenades
and having thrown a grenade the kill radius is
the key. The Frag Grenade in Vietnam had a 5 meter Kill radius and a 10 meter Casualty radius. His grenades like the Pineapple are not
as deadly and second accuracy in throwing is in
question when a rifle will do a better job. As
for the Mortors he would have to have mortor tubes to fire them, but they are rusted or been
in looks like salt water. These are no good. The current grenades are for taking out several personnel with in 10 meters which is 32.84 feet, but not the kill radius. The precursors to homemade explosives were not shown, so if this true he would need access to
your property to place a wireless explosive.

Being Aware of your surroundings is your best
    defence.

    Roy

  14. Itchik
    September 4th, 2014 @ 1:33 pm

Orly – you asked about the alleged explosives – based on what is being reported, the grenades are “dummy” grenades – inoperable and purely for display. The “precursors to explosives” is language the police like to use when they are describing any number of household chemicals you might have in your garage. How many people know what the three key ingredients are in gunpowder? You are likely to have all three in your house garage or shed and not even know it. The police say these are “precursors to explosives”. Google it and then see what you have in your house that you bought at Ralph’s that could get you arrested. This is why this kind of reporting is dangerous – perpetuates this idea that anybody who has more than one a slingshot in their closet is a “gun nut” and somehow dangerous to society. I’m am VERY surprised they didn’t report his “enormous ammo stash” as they usually do, stating that he had “thousands” of rounds – willfully negating the fact that “thousands” of rounds of even the largest rifle caliber will fit nicely into a small milk crate – and is just about enough ammo to enjoy an afternoon of shooting at targets out in the desert somewhere. You can almost put 500 rounds of .22 in your pocket! No, this kind of foaming-at-the-mouth hysterical reporting that demonizes law abiding citizens who are simply enjoying their legal and Constitutionally protected rights has got to stop. I only took issue with you posting this story because it is really a nothing story. So a guy has 23 rifles in his safe? As I said, that is a beginner’s collection and would be laughed at by your average gun owner.

Okay, now I’m very pissed off! Hey, Itchik, you have been a good poster here on Dr Orlys’ Site. Great! But you’ve gone and chided her (on her own site)!

That’s not not right! How dare you do this and not fully understand what Dr Orly has/is going through with all sorts of people trying to mess her life up! And her court cases have all been valid!

She’s in the hot seat and doesn’t need anyone to tell her off…can you understand that?

Why didn’t you word your post to be supportive, instead of trying to make her look foolish by posting what she feels is NOT a good thing, to have someone so close with many weapons, and then, that person is accused of domestic violence?

Do you really understand what she’s going through for (6) years, all the while all the rest of us are NOT having to put up with spending too damned much money and putting up with stress that would rock someone else’s life?

For someone who has posted positive support for Dr Orly in the past, I was shocked to read your flagrant post, to “inform” Orly of ANYTHING!

This is her site and you posted almost like one of the “snot-bots!” And since I know whom you are, after seeing your name on TV once, you should be quite-a-bit more understanding about what Dr Orly is having to put up with!

And hopefully, not pore any more gas on the fire?

So, I thought Starlite posted with a degree of being supportive of Dr Orly. That kind of a post from someone who is suposed to support Orly, was very uncalled for! Geez-us!

  17. Davey Crockett
    September 4th, 2014 @ 2:43 pm

Also, Dr Orly has been threatened by scum of this planet…(on her site)!

She could’ve lost her life with what happened in that “paid-off”-? car crash, by some low-life who didn’t give a crap!

And if someone is accused of domestic violence, why was he not arrested, held for trial, and had any and all weapons taken away?

Whether any or some of the weapons are worthy to be used or not, can you not see just how unsettling this could be to Dr Orly? She’s been through enough, Itchik. Maybe take some time to re-read your post before sending it through from now on, huh?

Orly, do you get the feeling that one or more of the posters on your site, at any given time, may be trying to agitate you and make you believe that they are helpful, but turn out to be just the opposite?

Dr Orly doesn’t need this kind of support from anyone who doesn’t back her up!

Let’s talk Grenades…grenades have a handle & a pull ring that pulls a pin from the handle & the grenade, allowing the person throwing the
grenade to estimate the time & distance when to throw the grenade, some grenades have different time settings in seconds for activation at a distence, therefore you need to know the time setting of the grenade.

So, why would you have dummy grenades which looks like electrical tape over the handle & around the grenade unless you thought the pull pin would would be pull or drop out…

You utterly failed to address any of the facts posited to you, in-spite of your condescension. You speak from willful ignorance, paranoia and obedient submission to your masters. You would be well-served to study the United States Constitution and familiarize yourself with the Bill of Rights. Crockett – have you lost your mind? How does someone having a legal collection of firearms in the same city as where the good Dr. resides constitute a threat to her? Did I miss a connection? Was there a prior threat form THIS individual? If so, that would certainly give one pause – but I didn’t see that connection. I am not chiding Orly. In fact, I dare say I have been not only supportive of her in spirit but financially as well and with a considerable amount at that. There is a bigger picture here which you have failed to grasp – for one, Orly doesn’t nee to worry about a random guy in the same city having guns. LOTS of people in Laguna Niguel have guns and probably more than this guy. My point was that I was extremely surprised to see this site parroting such ant-gun hysteria when it was not related to Orly. I am a staunch supporter of what Dr. Taitz is doing – but I also support legal gun ownership and have to call a spade a spade. I’m certain Orly is perfectly capable of accepting an opposing viewpoint. This story doesn’t belong on this site. You too can climb down from your high horse and stop with the hissy fit.

  26. Roy

Wow, too much emotions to cloud a clear mind from the above comments, so, Orly, if you are in route to a place, do not take the same route out which is safer may be longer. Do not be predicable, if someone asks you where you are going…say I don’t know now…do not telegraph your moves, Try and get their Names if they do not reply it is a signal. Starlight – how am I out of line? Who here can explain to me how the discovery of some legally held guns, across town, belonging to an individual with no connection to Dr. Taitz poses a threat to her in ANY WAY? What have I missed? As far as I can see, the discovery of these weapons poses no more threat to the Dr. than all of the other thousands, if not millions, of weapons just like them stored in homes all over Orange County. Please connect the dots for me! Your response to me was completely knee-jerk, hand-wringing “what-if” the sky-is-falling hysteria, filled with wild assumptions that a man who owns guns and was accused of some kind of “domestic violence” is likely a spree killer. I have NO COMPLAINT with Orly – my question was and is – how is this related? I see no connection – but I do see the promotion of negative gun-owner stereotypes based on ZERO EVIDENCE that the person involved broke any laws. You simply made the assumption that because he was accused, he was guilty and he was a serious threat to society. IN WHAT WAY? I am still waiting here in my mud-hut illuminated only by a small, rusty kerosene lamp for a sentient response to my inquiry from your “quiet exclusive residential neighborhood” where your neighbors need permits to own guns. I thank you for and respect your service. The rest of your screed is babble. My spirit is not mean – it is a Spirit of Truth and Freedom. I believe the U.S. Constitution means what it says and I do not accept the demonization of gun owners in an attempt to erode our rights. The article above does just that. Sorry if you can’t handle objectivity. Orly is a HERO – a woman, a human of unbelievable character, stamina and determination. I pray for her daily and have donated THOUSANDS of dollars to her cause – but that does not taint my objectivity. The man mentioned in the article above is not guilty of any gun crimes. He MIGHT BE guilty of some kind of domestic violence. WHAT DOES ANY OF THIS HAVE TO DO WITH Dr. Orly Taitz? Did the SPECIFIC person threaten the Dr.? Because if that is the case, I certainly did not see that revealed anywhere on this blog. If that IS the case, then certainly this is cause for alarm. Did this person threaten the Dr.? If the answer is NO, then YOU are the one who is out of line.

Nothing that I wrote warranted so much venom and vulgarity. Crockett – with all your huffing and puffing, you still haven’t explained to me how simply discovering firearms in a house of a person who is totally unrelated to Orly is a danger to her?

I am very saddened that this conversation has had to take place. My support for Orly is and has been unwavering. I simply asked a question – a legitimate question that deserves an honest, logical answer. All you and Starlight can do is attack because you think I have somehow disparaged Orly – because you lack the ability or willingness to consider the question logically and offer an answer that could actually be considered. Neither of you, to this point, has had ANYTHING of value to say or to add.

Do I understand what Orly has faced? Of course I do – how is ANY OF IT related to a guy that simply lives in Laguna Niguel being accused of domestic violence and having some guns in his house? Based on what both of you have written here, you are paranoid and delusional. You two are hysterical blithering idiots who seem to think that the simple existence of guns is in itself a threat to Orly and that anybody who owns guns is just one click away from committing mass murder. Based on your own comments, it’s clear to anyone with a modicum of reason that you two are insane. Good day.

    Reading Comprehension I:

“when someone nearby has decided to
    indulge in ‘domestic violence’ which

COULD BE a pre-cursor of another
type of violence, i.e. random shooting
in a mall or on our residential streets.

In Dr. Orly’s capacity of our
    intercessor against the
crimes of our government, it is prudent
to have a bit of speculation concerning
    weapons near her vicinity.”

Davey, quit laughing! I know what you are
    thinking.

Orly grew up in a different country, she speaks
several languages, is a dentist, and the only
attorney we have fighting for the Constitution that we have. She knows about Communist goverments and how they work. She has no awareness of our southern redneck bubba’s or our northern hunters, or our western cowboy’s
all of who hunt to supplement their living. They all have many different types of Guns.

To bring this point to an end…The Reason the Japanase did not Invade the Western Coast of America was their admiral who studied in the
US….said “Behind Every Blade of Grass There is a Gun”.

We are so lucky for her Will and Determination to stand up to this tranformation of America.
I thank all of the supporters of which I am one. So, if she has concerns, just help her,
she has other things to think about the up comming October Trial.

Now, If you Gent’s can let this Dead Dog Lay,

    Thank You,

    Roy

Agreed. If Itchy were threatened as a VIP, he
would get a bit worried and paranoid too. IMO.

Orly must take care of her SELF and her ROLE
    in HISTORY.

Always be prepared, is a very good motto.

    Tell him, Danno!!!

Starlight: LOL! No, what was I thinking? 🙂

As for chiky: Geez-us! I’m trying to stop but our news type isn’t even trying to quit.

Just read my posts…they are self-explanatory!

And chicky: calling Patriots insane has a ring of desparation to try to stand up for oneself?!

I think also, that you sounded like such a freakin’ know-it-all, that you started to talk down to Dr Orly and I think you let your ego and wallet overload your (brain…which has to be miniscule), since you can’t understand why Orly might have been upset or very cautious when she created this category!

Hey, chiky, it’s still her site! Can you understand that? Study some psychology and maybe you might come across info that would explain why a person who has tried for about (6) years is doing a Herculean job to stop the treason from spreading faster!

But you’ll see that I didn’t blow your cover, did I? That means I’ve got more respect for your former Patriotic posts, than you had/have for Dr Orly! Now, be a man, and admit your aren’t so damned perfect, and you really should’ve made your post read a little nicer, right?

Cause no one gave you license to post as you please on her site, if you are a Patriot? Right? All I did was come to Orly’s defense! And…as Joan Rivers would always say:

    “Grow up!”
