Orly,

So sorry, but I have a correction on the billboard slogan!  It should read,

“WHERE IS OBAMA’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE? For the answer, go to www.wnd.com“

Thanks!

Steph

U-DO-NEWS site coming. May be a good idea to have a presence on it?

I heard about this coming site on Alex Jones show 5/21, he was interviewing the inventor/owner. It’s an alternative to Youtube – since Youtube is censoring and scrubbing many videos and producers. No doubt it’ll be a huge success. The brains behind it is Darrel Rundus, Christian businessman and founder of The Great News Network, an international Christian evangelism ministry is the brains behind it.

Here’s the link with contact info. https://www.udonews.com/

    email: contact@udonews.com

WND did an article about this guy this week. He’s also offering $20,000 to memorize the 10 Commandments.

He’s also a big supporter/fan of Alex Jones, in Austin. I’ve been trying to get Alex’s producer to contact you to come on his show. Have you heard from them?

The billboards have nothing to do with Obama. They are advertisements to promote WND. If you think I’m wrong go to WND.com yourself. When you go to WND.com, as you might do if you saw the billboard and said “wonder what that is?” The first thing you see is a big picture of a cheeseburger asking if you know you have 5-15 pounds of waste in your colon and perhaps you need a cleanse. Then you see a bunch of titles like Bible Study at Home, Permit to read the bible. You have to scroll down to the middle of the page to see anything about a birth certificate. And even then it isn’t clear it is related to Obama. WND is collecting money to put up billboards designed to promote WND. I think this is a scam to use regular people’s money to advertise so WND doesn’t have to pay its own money, otherwise they’d post a link that goes directly to an Obama BC story.

It’s a double edge sword Kathleen, it would however seem like a good idea to have a direct link available:
    https://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=98787
on the front page. Maybe Mr. Farah will arrange that without upsetting his advertisers.

    It’s an advertising tactic.

    1. If they did have Barry’s name on there, there would be far less of a chance that they’d rent bilboard space as the owners would be, undoubtedly more ‘squeemish.’
    2. If they ‘show their full hand up front’, why go to the site? Those that already know of the issue already…know of the issue. They are trying to raise curriosity. Like…”what do they mean by that”, or “I wonder if they are talking about that ‘supposed’ issue with BO”, etc. They raise questions and suspecion, so people go to the site to find out.

I would agree though, during this campaign, the most prominant thing on their site should be a headline that links to a page that’s full of information regarding this.

    Kathleen,

With all due respect, I think you are wrong about WorldNetDaily. Every business needs advertisers and WND is no exception. It is the only news outlet that has given this much time to this issue. I read it everyday! There are lots of times, the ineligiblity issue is on the top.

Joseph Farrah has accompanied Dr. Orly to Washington DC. He is not a scam artist. He’s using his connections and his readers to give more attention to this situation which is not only helping Orly, it’s helping the whole “ineligibility” movement. I don’t have a problem with WND getting some benefit out of the deal.

I agree with George B; that’s a good idea about providing a link….even a link to Dr. Orly’s blog too. Maybe Orly can talk to him about that since she knows him.

LOL, brilliant. Love the billboard. It is a good start. Well done.
For those who don’t know about the Birth Certificate, will no doubt find out lol.
(saying all that, Obama and his cronies have probably forged one by now).

People who gave money to Farah for the billboards should be demanding that the billboard direct people right to the BC story. Have you followed the wnd.com link that’s on the billboard? You have to scroll past the cheeseburger/ colon waste ad and then 20 other headlines before you reach a reference to Where’s the birth certificate. This is about WND promoting WND with your money. If Farah were using your money to promote this cause, the picture of the billboard and the BC story would be at the top of his homepage, telling people right up front what the billboard means. The only people who are going to look are the people who see the billboard and don’t know what it means. Anyone who goes to a website looking for what “Where’s the birth certificate” means and gets a colon cleanse ad in their face instead is not going to stay and search around. I think people who gave money should be holding Farah accountable to do better than that.

It would be helpful if readers and contributors here write Joseph Farah and ask him to please change his billboard banner to “WHERE IS OBAMA’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE? For the answer, go to http://www.wnd.com”

A few of us have written him to inform him that now is not the time for “teasers”. Our country is going down the tubes and many, many people still are either ill informed or uniformed about the eligibility issue!! Please make your voices heard! This is an utter waste of money to not come forth in a loud voice at this time. We have not a minute to lose. Here is his email address: jfarah@wnd.com

    Kathleen,

Joseph Farah stated in an editorial on WND that if they put Obama’s name in the billboard, then it becomes a political billboard and the rules change that they have to adhere to. Then it falls under the control of the FEC. I hope this clears up any confusion that you or anyone else has about it.

    May 23rd, 2009 @ 10:02 pm

Clyde is right, according to the WND article the rules will change in political advertising. Everyone will either know when they see the sign like it is or will find out what it is about!
So what if WND is making money on this, it shows $10,000.00 a day has been donated! The money is already in the process to erect two more signs and they are at the printers now. The only reason the first one went up so fast is because it is digital! Thank God to the person who donated it!
Money talks, bullcrap walks and I woohoo’d when I saw the article!
God Bless You Orly! Faithful reader here.

Right, Clyde. Joseph Farah said he didn’t want it to look political-he just wanted to get people’s attention. Most everyone has at least heard about Obama’s birth certificate issue in some way or another, so I would think they would think about him, but, if not, when they go to WND they will see then. I’m sure lots of people have thought this issue was already covered since the MSM media hasn’t said anything, so there will be lots of surprises when they find out that people are still fighting for our country and then maybe they will help, too.

Clyde, do you have a link for that editorial? As I sent an email to WND asking why there was no mention of Obama on the billboard and Mr. Farah just replied: “Please read the story”.

Well, I did and there is no explanation of why it doesn’t mention Obamas name on the billboard. Maybe there are several articles regarding the billboard?? I don’t know. And yes Kathleen is correct. The WND site has MANY articles, exclusives, breaking news that it’s not always easy to sift through.

By the way, if his billboard campaign fails, he isn’t just blowing an opportunity. If his fails, donators will be unlikely to finance the billboard method of getting the word out on this issue again. He isn’t just blowing an opportunity – he’s ruining a needed long-term venue.

There’s no such thing as a neutral action or inaction in politics. Not ever. People better wake up this guy Farah and pro-actively help him to smell the coffee. Fast.
