Why is Ben Carson’s brother refusing to speak up and support his brother? Does he know that something in Carson’s story is not true? Was the story made up or was Carson put on meds to deal with his violent outbursts and that helped him, not sudden religious conversion?

Recently a number of questions were raised about the claims made by Ben Carson. Among them are claims of him hitting his friend with a pad-lock over the head, stubbing his friend in the stomach with a knife and trying to hit his mother over the head with a hammer and his brother stopping him. So far nobody could corroborate those stories. Another, was a story of Carson being photographed for the Yale News Daily as the most honest student in Sensitivity 301 class. There was no such class in Yale and there is no picture of Carson in the school paper either.

When Carson was asked for names of his friend who was the victim of his violent temper, he said that it was not a classmate, but a relative who does not want to talk. When Carson was asked if his brother will corroborate his story of his brother stopping him, when Carson tried to hit his mother over the head with a hammer, Carson said that his brother does not want to get involved. This part makes me particularly curious. I am sure that every close relative such as brother would step forward and state: my brother is not a liar, yes, this happened, my brother tried to hit our mother over the head with a hammer, I stopped him, however later my brother found God, as he claims, and his belief in God cured his temper. His brother is silent. That leads me to believe that either this didn’t happen and Carson simply made up his stories to make his autobiography more compelling or, what might be more likely, that Carson was put on some meds that helped with his temper and he does not want to disclose that.

In his 1990 book Gifted Hands, Ben Carson indeed wrote that he had a ‘pathological temper,’ which he called a disease. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3309479/

In his 1990 book Gifted Hands, Ben Carson indeed wrote that he had a 'pathological temper,' which he called a disease. Donald Trump brought up this fact four times today when he appeared on the Sunday shows

Bottom line, believing in God will make  a person more pious, but it would not change the neurotransmitters in one’s brain. Typically, a thing that would change the neurological reaction, is a psychotropic medication, which either provides a lacking transmitter or affects the release by the neurons or re-absorption by the receptors of a certain neurotransmitter.

By all accounts Dr. Carson is an accomplished doctor, however, he needs to disclose whether he was placed on psychotropic medication to control his temper. I believe that every presidential candidate should disclose all of his medical conditions and all the meds he or she is taking. The future of this nation is at stake and  I believe that we should know their medical histories.

WHY?? are we focusing on stories about things that were reported to happen 50 years ago.
Why should we try to pull down this good man?

We all know WHO we need to expose and report on in order for this country, this world, to know the facts about before it’s too late.

THAT WHO is probably feeling smug seeing that the focus has turned away from him and onto someone else.

we need to decide who is the best GOP candidate for Pres and whether Carson is truthful and whether he has what he calls a pathological disease and whether he takes medications. Also, he is indistinguishable from Rubio an Clinton on economic policies, he is for amnesty and outsourcing for American jobs

    Orly has this correct.

We need to know if someone still has a psychological problem or not?

That’s why (sometimes) we need to exercise our minds with (conservative, liberal, and middle of the road thinking), in order to have a normal psychology!

If someone is one way, too extreme, they will cause a rift in their lives, and this just can’t happen, to a President, who does have a great deal of info to absorb and deal with on a day to day basis!
