Obama can issue an executive order, fed gov can take over any building in eminent domain

Posted on | September 11, 2010 | 7 Comments

This father of the fallen firefighter is talking about the fact that Obama talked down to them and lectured them, as if they were bigots and racists.  Obama is the biggest bigot and racist. The way he and Holder do not prosecute black panthers and election’s fraud shows them to be the biggest black racists.

Can Obama do something? Of course he can. Just as he could issue an executive order to stop drilling in the gulf of Mexico and take 80,000 jobs from Americans. Do you think he cannot do something about this 13 story mosque at ground zero. He or governor of NY state of mayor of NY Bloomberg can issue an executive order and appropriate the building in eminent domain pay the market value to the owner and resell it. Period. End of discussion. Thousands of buildings are taken by Fed and state and local governments every day in eminent domain.
Proposed use is destructive for the city of NY for NY state and the country as a whole. Tha’t spitting in the face of the the victims families, the whole city of NY, the state and the country as a whole. Unfotunately our corrupt and bought by special interests leaders are joining this spit in your face party.

We have to clean up elections, bring paper ballots, do manual count with voters present and throw out of office all of the corrupt politicians. If we don’t do it, the whole country goes down the drain.

I have had land taken by the feds for projects. It was a long, drawn-out process. It seems to me that there was a court case over the ones we were involved in. This was for the San Luis Canal and Highway 5 in the 60s through the central valley of California. I doubt that the president’s power would extend to being able to take land by executive order. If I am wrong, could you explain how this executive order would work?

as you said yourself, the government can take land in eminent domain and give you a fair market value. It is done usually to free land for the fed or state or local projects or to put land in preserve or to change zoning.

Yes, the government has had that right for many, many years. It still includes due process, negotiations, court cases, etc. My first husband and I successfully defended our neighbors against two urban renewal programs and were involved in a successful law suit stopping a freeway. In those days, Cal-Trans could pretty much do what they wanted. The federal court stopped them: The freeway would have been built on top of an active earthquake fault and was built in almost every low income area along the route. Doesn’t Israel move people out in order to build highways and such?
I don’t know how the Soviet Union might have done it. But all governments build things and move people. We just happen to have the tools to fight for a just settlement or even put a stop to the plans.

unfortunately, the power of eminent domain was abused lately. People lost their homes when their land was given to big developers.
Ground zero mosque is one example, where eminent domain can be used and should be used for the benefit of the city of NY and the country as a whole.

yes, I agree that the Supreme Court ruling allowing the local government to take private property for commercial reasons was a very bad decision. I do not know how or why a mainly conservative Supreme Court could have ruled in this fashion. It doesn’t seem at all proper. However, none of these things allow a president to use executive orders to take over a piece of private property. We have fought over the years to make sure of religious freedom not deny it. The Catholic church built in Pacific Grove only because the priest had a doctorate. He bought the property as a doctor, not as a priest. Pacific Grove was a Methodist retreat and did not allow Catholics. They probably didn’t allow Jews either. I remember a lot of prejudice against a lot of people because of religion. As you might have guessed, I am old, but I come from a long line of pioneers who started coming here in the 17th century for religious freedom.

You need to use reason and differenciate religios freedom from hostile takeover, from fraud from depletion of natural resources by stealth. When you add all the facts, you see an invasion and an act of war
