This sounds like the last days of Pompeii and stems from Obama’s unbalanced volcanic mental state.

Pedro Alberto Monterroso Navas, 43, never checked back in with immigration authorities after his June 26 arrest. He headed to Metairie, La., where he murdered Heidi Monroy, 24, Sunday and fled to Katy, Texas where he was captured Monday.

An undocumented Guatemalan immigrant captured then released by Border Patrol agents in Texas traveled to a New Orleans suburb and murdered his girlfriend before fleeing to the Houston area with three of his children, authorities say.

Pedro Alberto Monterroso Navas, 43, was captured in Katy on Monday, one day after Heidi Monroy, 24, was found bludgeoned to death in her bathtub in Metairie, La.

Just about three weeks prior, Monterroso and two children were among the immigrants swept up in South Texas.

None of the children were injured after cops arrested the man in Katy, Texas.

But he and the children were released after the June 26 incident after Border Patrol determined he wasn’t a gang member and had no criminal history. Monterroso was ordered to report back to authorities once he settled in the United States.

Cops instead say he murdered Monroy, who was arrested at the border in May after traveling from Honduras. Accompanied by three minors, the woman was released and reported to immigration once she settled in Metairie, authorities told The Associated Press.

The man’s 12-year-old daughter was unharmed, but helped authorities capture her father after he allegedly killed his girlfriend in Louisiana.

Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas, 43, allegedly killed his girlfriend in their Metairie, La. apartment early Sunday, then fled with three of his children.

Some 55,000 people traveling as families have been busted at the border since October, while some 55,000 minors traveling alone have been picked up by authorities.

The Obama administration hasn’t revealed how many have been released or reported back after entering the country illegally.
