President Obama’s birth certificate continues to make headlines in ways he doesn’t want.
The latest: Arizona’s top elections official is trying to explain why he’s seeking to verify the document before placing Obama on the November ballot.
Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett, a Republican exploring a 2014 race for governor, issued a statement insisting he is not a “birther,” the word he and others use for those who believe Obama was not born in the United States and is not legitimately president.
Bennett told a radio interviewer yesterday it was “possible” he would keep Obama off the ballot if the issue isn’t resolved.
“First, I have been on the record since 2009 that I believe the president was born in Hawaii. I am not a birther,” Bennett said in his statement.
“At the request of a constituent, I asked the state of Hawaii for a verification in lieu of certified copy,” he said. “We’re merely asking them to officially confirm they have the president’s birth certificate in their possession and are awaiting their response.”
Arizona has been pegged by some political observers to be a possible battleground state in November. Tensions between state officials such as Republican Gov. Jan Brewer and the Obama administration over issues such as immigration have spilled over into the federal courts, putting Arizona under an even hotter spotlight in an election year.
Last April, Obama released the long form of his birth certificate showing that he was born in Hawaii as a way to defuse what he called the “silliness” surrounding the document.
But questions persist. Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff Joe Arpaio spent six months investigating Obama’s birth certificate and alleged it was forged.
In part because of Arpaio’s investigation, Bennett said on KFYI radio that he received over 1,200 e-mails asking him to look into Obama’s birth certificate. Bennett told radio host Mike Broomhead on Thursday that he believes “the president was born in Hawaii — at least I hope he was” and stated he was “not playing to the birthers.”
He went on to explain that he had been trying for eight weeks to verify Obama’s certificate and was surprised by how challenging it has been to get a response from Hawaii officials.
Obama’s Justice Department sued the Maricopa County (Arizona) Sheriff’s office earlier this month, claiming that Arpaio has led the practice of racial profiling of Latinos. Arpaio called the lawsuit a political stunt to try to win Latino votes in the upcoming election.

He is committing one crime after another from murder, to SS# fraud, forging documents, photographs, everything you can think of. YES! YES! YES! Orly, you are starting to get some results here. If AZ kicks him off the ballot because there is no valid BC, other states will have to take the same action under consideration and Obama will have to get out of the Country to avoid jail. My question is: can they produce a perfect replica of the BC they posted on the Internet? I don’t think so.

Right. Now, the official said “I asked the state of Hawaii for a verification in lieu of certified copy”. Does the “verification” mean original or something else? And would they have to bring it physically over to AZ and show it to Sec. of State? How does it work? Forgive my questions but I’m curious, ’cause I have to email a lot of people that have been laughing at me about the Obama forgery.

Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital did not exist as such in 1961.
Yet this is the name of the Hospital that is listed on Obama’s alleged Birth Certificate.
The Hospital was not designated as such until after a merger of two medical facilities in 1978!
So why would they print this name on a 1961 Birth Certificate?

I believe that SOS Bennett asked Hawaii for a statement that it possesses the birth certificate–he didn’t request to see the actual birth certificate. Am I incorrect about this? Their lack of response to him could be because they don’t have it and if they lie and state that they do, they could all end up in prison. They may know that the end to this Obama lie is coming and don’t want to get in any deeper than they already are. Or at least I hope that’s what’s happening.

I’m wondering IF the State of Arizona has
ANY right to demand of the STATE of HAWAII — OR for that matter ANT State, be required to “produce” a Birth Certificate. This is upside down thinking. EACH of the 50 States should put the burden ON the nominee to produce a valid, certified copy of his/her birth certificate.
IF the State of Hawaii were to be claiming that akaObama WAS born there–THEN a demand for proof might be justified, To MY knowledge, Hawaii has, to date, through its employees only “acknowledged” that there were records pertiaining to the BIRTH of akaObama but NOT to the WHERE of that birth. Their records merely acknowledge the existence of a person bearing that name.
Arizona’s SoS should be putting the demand ON akaObama … not a “third prty”.
Of equal importance, to ME, is the FACT that, in spite or repeated demands, Mitt Romney has NOT produced a cerrified copy of HIS b.c.! I wonder what HE is hiding?

No, just certified copies, see Full Faith and Credit Clause.
Besides, the SoS would first have to point to a law requiring birth certificates to be shown; isn’t that what the “birthers bills” that failed last year were about? So it seems such laws do not exist yet.
If that is the case, “Obama” would have no problem winning a court case against the SoS without having to show anything.

I hate to say it, but we need to focus on this strategically. “Red States” may be the ones most likely to strike Obama from the ballot, but they’re also the ones he’s least likely to care about. A bunch of Red states that would have been carried by Willard Romney ANYWAY won’t change the election. The more swing and blue states we can get to drop Obama the less likely he is to steal a second term.
Red States dropping Obama will only motivate liberals in swing states to get out and vote. SWING and BLUE states dropping Obama from the ballot will make even the liberals think twice about voting for him.

There are no legal documents supporting the claim that alleged father Obama Sr ever stepped foot on the island of Hawaii or that he fathered Obama in any way, shape, or form. Barrack his correct name and his birthdate June 18, 1934 make it possible to throw out a ton of forged Obama documents. High school handwriting samples of alleged mother Stanley Ann Dunham don’t compare to any of her forged signatures. Get the picture. Hawaii IS NOT PART OF THE OBAMA STORY.
