Dear Friends,
  
I want to pass on an  idea to you — for whatever you think it’s worth. 
 
Orange County has an  important  elective position to be filled in the  coming  elections — that of the  County Sheriff.  Having had a year’s experience working for the O. C. Probation Department, Juvenile Division, back in 1985;  I have a special interest in seeing “the system” cleaned up and changes to the “good ol’ boy” syndrome that prevails changed so that merit is recognized and inept, indifferent  and unprofessional behaviour is no longer tolerated, covered up and sometimes even rewarded.
 
There are LOTS of areas within the jurisdiction of the Sheriff’s responsibility that  are much in need of improvement and I was  much chagrined that one of the first things that Sandra Hutchins chose to do as her “top priority” was to recall the carry  permits of those who were issued under the previous sheriff.  THAT was her priority!   For her attitude and policy about our Second Amendment rights is enough, for me, to want to see her replaced.  Also, from what I learned by listening to Bill Hunt on a couple of his campaign talks, Hutchins is mis-managing the admissions policy of our  jails.
 
Some 400+ needed  beds, for example, have been reserved for prisoners incarcerated by the FEDEARAL  government  while the Courts have  admonished the County for overcrowding our jails.  It’s these “inside administrative” details that my short experience with the “system” tells me need an experienced administrator with backbone to stand up to the Supervisors at one level, and, the Feds at another.  
 
Now, to my idea:  I have just created a “mail signatures” format that you will see  below and it is my suggestion that those of us who choose to support Bill Hunt, create something similar to put at the  bottom of all our emails.  In my case, it is one of five that AOL makes available space wise.  I will be rotating it with other  signatures.   I get lots of emails but  I have yet to see any making use of the signature field to present a video.  I think the quotation from Einstein is so appropriate.  I’ll likely be changing the ‘motivator’ quotation frequently.
