Judge Farr will move on to the final vote for federal judgeship after Vice President Pence arrived at the senate and cast a deciding vote.
Outgoing AZ senator Jeff Flake threatened to vote no on all judicial nominees for federal judgeships, including Arizona judge whom he himself recommended to President Trump, until the senate passes the bill to protect Mueller from being fired by Trump. Senate defeated Flake’s bill. trump is free to hire his authority and fire Mueller, though Trump is not planning to do it anyways.
This was an outrageous extortion on part of the outgoing senator. At any rate, without his vote, Vice President Pence can cast the breaking vote in a 50/50 situation, which Pence did today. This way Judge Farr overcame the filibuster and is expected to be confirmed after required 30 hours of deliberation. All of Trumps nominees for federal judgeships are expected to be confirmed even without Flake, with VP Pence casting the deciding vote.
With this latest stunt Flake completely discredited himself in the eyes of the Republican voters and his political career is over. Flake reportedly had presidential aspirations. He can kiss them goodbuy. Republicans will not vote for him because of these stunts and Democrats will not vote for him because they have more liberal candidates. Come January Flake will have to look for a real job. He’ll have to work like all of us.

Flake is NOT a conservative like he thinks he is!
If he were, then, he would be helpful to President Trump and to America!
But he played God, along with McCain, and thought he spewed a weird truth that didn’t work!
He put his own thoughts ahead of what’s good for America, and this cost us a (R) in Congress!
