Polls were wrong in multiple toss up senate races. Early vote party preference was a 100% correct predictor of final vote in the toss up senate races

Posted on | November 7, 2018 | No Comments

There were several close senate races: FL, IN, MO, MT, NV, AZ.

Real Clear Politics average of polls predicted that the Democrat, Joe Donnelly will keep his seat in IN. He lost by 10%.

Same RCP average predicted that the Democrat Bill Nelson will win FL by 3.4%. He lost

RCP predicted Democrat John Tester to win in MT by 3%. He lost.

It appears that the best predictor of elections is the party preference in the early vote.

In the early vote Republicans led in all battleground state senate elections aside from NV. This was a 100% predictor of the final results.
