My answer to this Wash Post article on Trump’s pardon of Arpaio

Posted on | August 26, 2017 | 5 Comments

Arizona is a border state with severe illegal immigration problems. I am a white woman in CA and was stopped by cops over 10 times over the years, had to show my ID and never made a big deal out of it. In most cases AZ sheriffs did not search people, they simply asked for IDs. When people did not have valid IDs, they were sent to ICE for deportation. Illegal immigration robs Americans of their jobs and lowers their wages. Each year over 220 billion of our hard earned tax dollars go for support and social needs of illegals and their US born children: education, health care, housing, food stamps. Once people had to wait for a year or two for low income housing. Today, in South CA they wait for 8 years or longer because of people who are here illegally and their US born children. While I am sorry the writer of this article got a pat down, it is not the end of the world either. Every day millions of people get pat downs by TSA at the airports and by police while being stopped. I had a pat down by the TSA at the airport, while I did not do anything wrong, and I did not file a lawsuit against TSA claiming discrimination. All in all Arpaio did a lot of good for US citizens and tax payers. He did what lawless Obama administration refused to do

Yeah, that’s a chunk of money to be wasting on illegals!

Any normal thinking person would see how
    valid your comment is.

Even now,we have the rabid non-humans,
( I swear, we have been invaded by
    aliens from another solar system)

who are furious about this man being
set free, after he was attempting to
keep this country free of vermin.

Now we have a lawyer on another news
site, saying that Trump’s pardon of
    Arpaio is an impeachable act.

    Give me a break.

If anyone ever was impeachable, it was
all of the treachery of the Barack Soetero
critter. I mean his misdeeds would
    fill a thesaurus.

Every day there is another fool who
    spouts complete idiocy.

What and where is the space ship
from which they arrived within the
last few years? They are certainly
not of the human race as God would
    have created them.

    Well,maybe I am stretching it a bit,
but you have to admit, there is
    something very,very, very dysfunctional
    raging through thousands of occupiers
    in America.

You were stopped on suspicion of having committed a driving offence. That’s ok. What if you were stopped because they were singling out Jews? The rule of law requires that people obey court orders. Arpaio didn’t. He was rightfully convicted.

Arpaio and his sheriffs did not deport people who were here legally. They checked the docs and transfered illegals to ICE. Nothing wrong with that

    Bob Morris,

You mean there is ‘rule of law’ still in
existence in good ol’ America, the land of the
free and home of the brave?

Don’t whisper that to the new sheriff in town:

    ANTIFA..

the group which opposed neo-Nazis.. ( I do, too, as have we all since WW2)

then we have a new but not new, fanatic group:
    White Supremacy.

(I also oppose them, since KKK and ITS
    leader,from way back decades ago),

and who by the way,the leader, once lived in my little town and whose daughter attended a school where I worked. Sweet girl.. felt sorry for her.

Then there are other off-the-wall segments
against the ‘rule of law’ which makes one
wonder if this “archaic legal anomaly” still
    is in force.

I think IT’S in need of nurturing.
