Meeting in Houston

Posted on | October 18, 2009 | Comments Off on Meeting in Houston

Unfortunately meeting in Houston TX will have to be postponed to another day. I appreciate Mr Terrence Boggs organizing the meeting and booking the flight, however the itinerary was too tight. I was supposed to get up at 4am, drive an hour and a half to LA, to be there at 6am in order to  fly from LA at 7 am, arrive in Houston at 12, give a presentation from 2-4, fly from Houston at 6, arrive  in LA at 7:30 Pacific, arrive at home in OC around 10 PM. I worked yesterday till late and unfortunately couldn’t make very early flight from LA. I offered Mr. Boggs that I will use my frequent flyer miles and take a 9 am flight from OC and will arrive to Houston at 4 and will give a lecture at at 4:30 instead of 2. The meeting was at a Mexican restaurant, owned by Mr. Bogg’s friend, people could’ve had their meal from 2-4 and lecture at 4, but he felt that the meeting should be cancelled, as people would not wait that long. I have to add that while the restaurant might chrge their usual fees, I don’t charge for the lecture, I do it pro bono.
