FOX just reported that Trump raised 90 million in August. It is more than 80 mln that he raised in July but much less than 143 million raised by Clinton in August.
Reportedly, Trump raised a total of 60 mln in the primary, 52 mln in June, 80 mln in July and 90 mln in August. His total so far is 282 mln. If he continues raising the same amounts in September, October and first week of November, he will raise 202.5 mln more to a total of 484.5 mln. This is about half of 925 mln raised by Romney and less than half of 1 billion raised by Obama in 2012.
Out of 143 million raised by Clinton in August, only 62 million will go to her campaign, the rest is going to other Democratic party candidates and organization. So far there is no data on how much of 90 mln, raised by Trump, will go to Trump campaign and how much will go to RNC and other organizations.
Latest NBC report shows that there are still 13% undecided voters. 79% of these undecided voters have a negative opinion of both Trump and Clinton.
Trump has to conduct a serious TV and radio ad campaign to grab those voters, particularly in swing states. So far, according to the average of polls he is behind by 2.4% nationwide and he is behind in 9 out of 10 swing states. Today’s GWU/Battleground poll shows him behind by 2%. Clinton is running multiple ads on TV and radio. So far no Trump ads.
The latest CNN poll shows that Trump already has 90% of GOP votes. This is close to 93% of the GOP vote that Romney got in 2012. So, Trump is pretty much reaching the saturation point among the GOP voters, who typically attend GOP rallies. At this point, he has to invest heavily in TV ads in battleground states in order to reach more undecided voters.
