Even pro-Hillary NBC shows Trump in a statistical tie with Clinton. Half a year before the election, Trump is already doing better than Romney, who lost by 4%

Posted on | May 17, 2016 | 2 Comments

NBC/Survey Monkey poll shows Clinton-48%, Trump-45% in a poll with 3% margin of error, which makes it a statistical tie. Additionally, majority of GOP voters trust Trump over Ryan to lead the party.

This survey shows that Trump is already doing better than Romney did 4 years ago. Romney lost with 4% margin. According to this poll, the gap between Clinton and Trump is less, only 3%. According to other polls, Trump is either leading Clinton by 2% (Rasmussen poll) or trailing her by only 2% according to YouGov/Economist or Gravis.

Additionally, Trump is already doing better than Romney did with minorities, which are a traditional Dem constituency. Obama got 95% of the Black vote, Clinton has only 89% of the black vote.

As far as Hispanics are concerned,Trump is already doing better among Hispanics. Romney had 27% of Hispanics, Trump already has 28% of Hispanics.

What is very important, is that Trump solidified GOP-87% of Republicans will vote for him according to the survey. The same number of Dems will vote for Clinton. However, Trump beats Clinton among independents with 8% margin. Independents are 40% of the population, the largest voting block. the remaining 30% is split among GOP and Dms.

Further, we see Trump on an upward trajectory, he is likely to go up further and surpass Clinton.
