Today, GOP ruling mafia insider, John Sununu, appeared on FOX and claimed that Trump is doing badly in general election polls against Clinton and for that reason he should not be elected. Sununu clamed that Trump is 11-18% behind Clinton.
However, there were polls, such as USA Today, which showed Trump 3% ahead of Clinton.
According to Zogby poll Clinton is leading by 7%, Cruz had similar results. According to Monmoth poll she is leading by 6%, nowhere near 11-18%.
Moreover, in March of 1980 Carter led. Reagan by 25% and in November 1980 Reagan won by a landslide. I hope FOX will invite me or other commentators to point out these inconsistencies.

A new nationwide Zogby Analytics Poll of 1,792 likely voters nationwide show Hillary Clinton leading both Donald Trump (47%-40%) and Ted Cruz (47%-41%), but trailing behind John Kasich (41%-44%). The online poll conducted March 18-21 has an overall margin of sampling error of +/-2.4 percentage points.
