In spite of the claims by pro-Obama media, Republican senators who are due for reelection will not be hurt by blocking Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court
By Dr. Orly Taitz, ESQ
In the wake of untimely passing of Justice Antonin Scalia, senate majority leader Mitch McConnell announced that GOP will not confirm an Obama nominee for the Supreme Court, a life time appointment, as we are in the midst of an election and we should let the newly elected president to nominate the Supreme Court Justice.
In response we saw an avalanche of articles and radio and TV reports claiming that GOP will pay for this obstruction and will lose the senate majority as GOP senators running for reelection will be kicked out.
I beg to differ. In my opinion GOP will only benefit from this.
The media claims that the ones who will be defeated are the senators running for the reelection in the swing and blue states. Who are these senators? That’s senator Johnson in Wisconsin, Senator Toomey of Pennsylvania, Senator Kirk in Illinois.
Well, I don’t believe that Obama’s nominations will even get to the senate floor. I believe they will be stopped in the senate Judiciary committee. You can see the names of the GOP committee members below. Do you see Senator Johnson on this committee? No. Do you see Senator Toomey on this committee? No Do you see Senator Kirk on this committee? No. These senators will not bear any responsibility for blocking of the Supreme Court nominee. They will run on their own record. Currently Toomey is ahead in the average of polls, Johnson and Kirk are behind. Their standing in the polls will not change based on what happens with the SCOTUS nomination.
Three GOP Senators, whose term expires this year and who serve on the Judiciary Committee, will not be affected as well. Senator Lee is from a coservative state of Utah where his act of blocking Obama’s nominee for SCOTUS will be a badge of Honor. The other two: Vitter and Rubio are not running for reelection for Senate. Rubio sees this as a plus in his Presidential bid as he believes that his announcement of an intent to block Obama’s nominee will only energize his base.
So GOP should not be afraid to block Obama’s nominee with the hope that the next justice will be nominated by the Republican president, probably Trump, and he will appoint a judge similar to Scalia.

True. Only Giuliani qualifies, IMO.

Sadly, we arrived at a point when we learn the truth by interpreting the information from the media exactly to the contrary – this is how we used to learn the truth in the former USSR.

I would hope that if trump is elected he will have the good sense to declare obama’s presidency the grand sham that it is, and nullify his every action. No matter what obama does or has done trump can void.
If trump does have the courage to sue cruz for his ineligibility, it should have the benefit of exposing and ousting obama also.
Only the ignorant, traitorous liars, or cowards, refer to obama as president. Only the ignorant, taitorous liars, or cowards, claim cruz, rubio, or jindal, are “Natural Born” U.S. citizens.

I am less confident. If they got to Scalia, they can get to anyone. And murder is not their only tool. Blackmail and bribery can accomplish a lot.

This is more evidence that the SCOTUS was a bad idea and needs to be abolished.

And Guess who the new appointee is…………….
Loretta Lynch.

There was a story back the first of the year about lynch, which claimed obama and his colleagues mean to rig the bureaucracy so that their unique brand of hope and change will thrive long after their tenure.

I have not seen Lynch on any of the lists of possible nominees in the mainstream press.
