   If Cruz or Rubio were really honest they would drop out of the race, admit that they were ineligible for the presidency but hope that President Trump had a position for them in his cabinet.

   Cruz denounced his Canadian citizenship. He was born in Canada to an American mother which gives him American citizenship. From what I have read, he is eligible even though he was born in Canada. But it should be interesting if he surges in the polls. I don’t think he will overtake Mr. Trump.

   It is past time for many to speak out. They have all shown themselves to be venal cowards for not speaking out against obama.

   Only the ignorant, liars, or cowards, will refer to obama as president.

   Once usurped, the office is now wide-open to whoever can get the most votes – any votes. A muslim terrorist from another country could run for president – or maybe one already did and won?

   In my eyes, Cruz and Rubio are adherents to Obama because they are not against him. I will never support either one of them. Cruz’s wife is a VP with Goldman Sachs and a member of CFR – two more reasons to distrust him.

   Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Bobby Jindal, who I like, always says the right thing except when it comes to their birth citizenship which makes them ineligible for POTUS. Have any published there verified birth certificates? You cannot, according to our Constitution succeed, to the Presidency based on being a US citizen only. Our Constitution requires a Natural Born Citizen, which Cruz, Rubio & Jindal are not. Our Founding Father used the Law of Nation as a reference source when forming our nation and drafting our Constitution and therefore the Law of Nations more definitively describes the requirement referred to in Article II of our Constitution, read this from Volume One:
   §212. Citizens and natives.
   “The citizens are the members of the civil society: bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to [218] all their rights. The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owes to its own preservation; and it is presumed, as matter of course, that each citizen, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children; and these become true citizens merely by their tacit consent. We shall soon see, whether, on their coming to the years of discretion, they may renounce their right, and what they owe to the society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.”
   Cruz, Rubio and Jindal are all attorneys and knows better, Cruz even clerk at the Supreme Court, are they all self-serving, pandering or simply another covert Progressive furthering their movement?
   I do not think anyone is an idiot, literate people can agree to disagree but name calling comes when you do not have a literate answer right or wrong. That said if you want to chime in it requires one to do their research of the facts and that can be long a tedious in the quest for answers. Its starts with our Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers, SCOTUS decisions, and the Law of Nations to properly put all in perspective. Then you have to understand the agenda of the Progressive Movement in the US and who its members are to understand the counter culture that wants our Constitutional Republic changed to a Democracy without ever going through the Amendment process to achieve their goals. In my opinion the Progressive Movement in our nation is the most dangerous element in our society for they work from within our government at all levels and in all political parties this infiltration took years to achieve and we are seeing the results of that today in our national dysfunction which is one or more of their goals. Now, I restate my original assumption with the following, none of which has been disproven by Obama or his minions: Is Obama our first illegal alien president? Who is Obama, does anyone other than his dead mother and grandmother really know for certain?

   Lorraine Holmes. You do not know what you are talking about. Ted Cruz was born in Canada and returned his birth certificate himself. Under 1940 and subsequent Naturalization laws passed by Congress, Children born to American citizens in foreign countries are awarded Automatic Naturalized Citizenship. They are given a birth certificate from country of birth.
   There are a million such incidents in Germany regarding children of American Citizens from the end of World War 2 up to around 2000. John McCain was born in Colon Panama and has a birth certificate from the Republic of Panama and was one of the first group of people given
   Automatic Naturalized Citizenship. And yes he claimed he was born in the Panama Canal Zone and ran for President and lost. The United States did not own the Canal. They rented it. This is all spelled out in original agreement between the United States and Panama. Yes, I have a copy of McCain’s birth certificate, original agreement between USA and Panama, and Ted Cruz’s birth record certificate an revocation by Ted Cruz himself of Birth Certificate. Automatic Naturalization Certificates did not award any type of Citizenship such as natural born citizenship.

    McCain’s birth certificate came from the Railroad of the Canal Zone who was the Keeper of Canal Records. I doubt McCain even knows who had these records for him. But like I said the United States rented the Canal for a set amount in gold paid annually. The USA got cocky one day and shot a group students and was kicked out of the Canal.

    Natural born citizenship, born on U.S. soil to citizen parents, which is required for the office of president, has been downgraded to mean any kind of American citizen, no matter how convoluted the path is just to get to “citizen”……it then magically becomes natural born citizen. The Obama legacy will include anyone can be president of the USA. Obama is a great example of why the founders required a natural born citizen. They wanted to increase the chances the president would actually like the USA.

    Steve Wittlake, I only know what I read. Also, less than a month ago, the news showed Cruz saying he denounced is Canadian citizenship, making him a citizen of U.S. only. It may be irrelevant, since Cruz is in 3rd or 4th place in most polls. If he should rise and become a contender, then his birthplace might be an issue, since the Constitution states “natural born citizen.”. I don’t like your approach to challenging comments of others. If you disagree, say that. Don’t make uncalled for bully remarks. It makes you look like the unintelligent one!
