TRENTON — If the primary for the 2016 Republican nomination for president were held today, would you vote for Gov. Chris Christie or Donald Trump?

Trump, the billionaire and TV personality who was once an Atlantic City casino magnate, announced Tuesday that he is officially seeking the GOP nod. He positioned himself as the kind of leader the U.S. needs.

“Our country is in serious trouble,” Trump said at the announcement. “We don’t have serious victories anymore. When’s the last time we beat China in a trade deal? I beat China all the time.”

Christie, meanwhile, is expected to announce within weeks whether he is launching a campaign. But he has traveled numerous times to the key early-voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire, has begun delivering policy speeches, and has slammed potential Republican rivals. He also said his brash persona would be an asset with issues like foreign relations.

“I would tell you this:Vladimir Putin would never have to wonder what I thought was acceptable and what was unacceptable,” Christie said recently.

Who would you support? Or would you back neither? Vote in the informal, unscientific poll below.

Thank you for voting!

Democratic and media strategy in progress. Promote as many conservative sounding candidates as possible. Get them to run in the primaries and general elections to split the conservative vote. Don’t allow any single conservative candidate to gain momentum. Smear, smear, smear. Trump tells us what we want to hear. He is not hampered by commitments to crossover voters. He does have a record though and he never fails to take advantage of a financial opportunity, just like Perot who was paid to elect Bill Clinton.

I am actually surprised it’s this close. I would expect maybe 2% to 60%, Trumps’ favor.

How do we know Perot was “paid to elect Bill Clinton”? Anything connected with elections is fishy, getting worse with time.

And as for those voting for popularity more than a year before election, who are these people?
But – of course – any bumbling politician with or without teleprompter would show their lack of knowledge in a debate with Mr. Trump the experienced negotiator and businessman who doesn’t mince words.

Unless voters are looking for who has the best hair style or looks the cutest, Donald Trump appears to be the real winner.

Christie is the Rino, Pillsbury Dough-boy!

Notice that Trump came into this race, this time, without asking if he should run.

He now knows what’s important enough to go after it…and so far, he’s the only candidate that has talked about (real) issues!

How can they keep him from winning? Go, Trump!
