There has been a shift. My son is in college and he told me NOBODY he knows (who is a democrat) trusts Obama, and they will never, ever, vote for Hillary Clinton.
Specifically, they say they will not vote for a president if she is the nominee — but they’ll vote for everybody else who is a democrat.
(Yes, my son is a conservative republican and does his part to convince his fellow college students to vote for the republican of their choice)

sadly, with GOP voting for Obama-trade and many GOP Presidential candidates (aside from Trump) supporting it, many Republican candidates became terrible choices as well
